CODE PURPLE is a non-profit organization that marries high fashion and international philanthropy. CODE PURPLE brings together world-renowned designers, fashion moguls, celebrities, and models under one banner - protecting innocent people from contracting malaria through fashion. In February 2012, CODE PURPLE debuted their first show, the CODE PURPLE EVENT, to the tune of over 1200 people aboard the USS Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum. Over 50 media outlets were in attendance covering what would become the largest fashion show to close out New York Fashion Week. ING Activewear launched one of the largest initiatives in 2012 to help prevent the millions of children and adults from dying of malaria every year. Supporters play a direct role to raise crucial funds needed to bring help to more than 200 million people affected worldwide by malaria each year. This global initiative is centered on a product called the MOSKEETO ARMOR, designed and developed with revolutionary expertise by design house, ING Activewear. Certified by a Switzerland based third party for up to 50 washes, this life-changing technology repels mosquitos and has initiated an international campaign against malaria. The family and friends are pleased to announce the launching of the Rosemarie K Witter Foundation and the Rose Garden Scholarship Fund to honor Rosemarie’s memory and legacy. June 26, 2012 will mark the tenth anniversary of Rosemarie’s passing: however her memory is still very alive with us. Therefore we have created this foundation and scholarship fund to honor her. Rosemarie was a Mechanical Engineer with hopes of pursuing a law degree; however her life was cut short by Lupus ending her goal to practice law -she was only 37 years old. “Rosie” was a very loving and caring individual, a humanitarian who was passionate about the causes that she believed in. Had she lived, Rosemarie would have delved into Lupus research with a determination to find the cause(s) and a possible cure for this disease that took her life. Rosemarie was unable to pursue this endeavor, but her family and friends are committed to carrying the torch in her memory.

The Fixed Income Analysts Society (FIASI), founded in 1975, is a not-for-profit professional society dedicated to the education of its membership and the fixed income community at large. FIASI serves its members by sponsoring programs and workshops covering topics of current interest and presented by distinguished industry leaders. FIASI also sponsors an annual Hall of Fame ceremony to recognize lifetime achievements of outstanding practitioners in the advancement of fixed income security and portfolio analysis.
