The MFA is one of the most comprehensive art museums in the world; the collection encompasses nearly 500,000 works of art. We welcome more than one million visitors each year to experience art from ancient Egyptian to contemporary, special exhibitions, and innovative educational programs.

We also curate the walls of 1369 Coffeehouse in both Inman and Central, and the Middle East Upstairs and Corner. Space available for paintings, prints, photography, installations, and other media including projections and film, ceramics, jewelry, and woodwork. Our mission is to provide a place for local and regional artists of all mediums to exhibit their work and engage the larger community. In addition to regular exhibitions, Gallery 263 is a multi-functional art space, providing opportunities for the public to participate in the creative process through music performances, workshops, film screenings, lectures, artist talks, juried show competitions and yoga.
Founded in 2009, by the Bodega Crew with a goal of creating more places for punks to loiter, artists to flourish, and more voices to be heard. The idea was to turn dormant commercial spaces into pop up gallery spaces reclaiming urban space for public art projects and progressive exhibitions. We keep it independent/free form and curate cultural artifacts for the neighborhood. We settled into our current location at 132 brookline Ave. Boston MA 02215 a wonderful 3,000 square foot gallery with many possibilities.

Museum of Fine Arts is a surface-level tram stop on the MBTA Green Line "E" Branch, located the median of Huntington Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts, between Museum Road and Ruggles Street. The station is named after the adjacent Museum of Fine Arts, although it also provides access to Northeastern University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Museum of Fine Arts station is fully handicapped accessible.HistoryThe modern Green Line "E" Branch opened on February 16, 1941 with the completion of the Huntington Avenue subway from Copley to the Northeastern Incline. (Before then, trams had run on the surface from the Boylston Street portal). Until the 1970s, there were not truly distinct stations on the surface portion of the line; passengers merely waited on street corners. Museum of Fine Arts first appeared on system maps in 1990 as Museum (sometimes Museum/Ruggles), and small asphalt platforms were installed north of Museum Road around that time. Most current system maps show the name as Museum Fine Arts to save space, though the MBTA still uses the full Museum of Fine Arts name on Green Line-only maps and station signage.In a renovation that took place in 2002 and 2003, a new handicapped-accessible station was built between Museum Road and Ruggles Street. Wiring slots for an automatic fare collection system were installed during the upgrade, though fare collection at the station is still on board trains. A signal prioritization system for Northeastern University and all stops further outbound is also in place.

Gallery 360 celebrates creative expression and the visual arts. It advances Northeastern’s mission to enrich the intellectual lives of students and the broader community through creative endeavors. This elegant, 1,000-square-foot space displays works by students, faculty, and alumni, as well as emerging local, national, and international artists. The gallery operates year-round in Ell Hall, with easy access from Curry Student Center.

575 Commonwealth Avenue is a dormitory at Boston University. Until 2001 the building was a Howard Johnson hotel owned by the University. It is located in Kenmore Square next to the Rafik B. Hariri Building, which houses the Questrom School of Business.HistoryThe building at 575 Commonwealth Avenue opened in November 1963 as the Fenway Commonwealth Motor Hotel. It contained 150 rooms and a 135-car garage. It was the third hotel in the Commonwealth Motor Hotel chain. In 1975 the hotel became a Howard Johnson's.The seventh floor was home to a cocktail lounge. Originally known as the Cartoon Room, it later became a Top 40 club called the Up and Up Lounge. In 1983 it became a jazz club known as the Starlight Roof. Among the artists to perform at the Starlight were Ruby Braff, Tanya Hart, Tal Farlow, Phil Wilson, Scott Hamilton, Guy Van Duser, and Chris Connor. The lounge's final incarnation was as a nightclub known as the Lava Bar.On March 6, 1981, a four alarm fire broke out in the hotel. Twenty guests had to be rescued from balconies and window ledges. Six guests and two firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation.In 1987, the hotel's swimming pool was closed from August 19 to September 23 for sanitary violations.
