We minister to those on the far Northwest side of San Antonio who are far from God and share with them the life transforming message of Jesus Christ. We meet on Sunday mornings at 10 am inside Braun Hall, a dancehall located inside Loop 1604 on Braun Road.
Thank you for your interest in Torch of Faith. Founded in 2003, our initial purpose was to help other nonprofits increase their visibility and strength in serving the poor. This included compassionate outreach in southern California, Baja California, Texas, and Tamaulipas, Mexico. More recently, we have shifted our focus to stimulating dialogue and unity between people of vastly different spiritual journeys. We believe there is such a richness of spiritual experience around us just waiting to be shared.
Cornyval began in 1966 as a way for Helotes non-profit organizations to raise money. Celebrating its 50th consecutive year, Cornyval festivities begin Thursday, April 30th and run through Sunday, May 3rd at the Helotes Festival Grounds. The grounds are located on Leslie Rd. just off of Bandera Rd in Helotes, Texas across from the entry to O'Connor High School. The Helotes Rodeo started in 1988 as an additional feature of the Helotes Cornyval. It was jokingly referred to in some early years as a "mud bowl", but with hard work, dedicated volunteers, and a strong community sponsorship, it has become a highly recognized PRCA rodeo.

Beginning in 2007 with a single website, Psalm11918.org, our efforts have expanded to six separate domains each focused on different audiences and subjects. The Psalm 119 Foundation was formed to provide consistent direction and executive oversight for the expanding scope of our efforts.
Our Adoption Program: Helotes Humane Society operates a foster-based rescue and adoption program, so all of our animals for adoption are kept in approved foster homes, allowing our rescued pets a safe haven and home environment to learn and grow in while they await their forever home, providing both the animal and adopter a head start on the adjustment process. This also allows our adoption team to provide insight about each animal's personality, temperament, training, and more. Our Community Programs: To learn more about the community programs we offer, as well as current grant-funded programs we are running, visit www.hhsanimals.org. Our Thrift Shop: Second Chances Thrift Shop directly supports the Helotes Humane Society! Visit the shop's Facebook page for more info at www.facebook.com/Thrift4Animals.
