The Berkshire Room’s name comes from The Berkshire Hotel which once occupied the original hotel space where ACME now sits from the 1920s thru the 1950s. Schiller's innovative program features specialty cocktails; barrel-finished cocktails; and "dealer's choice" cocktails where the guests pick the spirit, flavor profile and glassware and our talented bartenders craft unique one-of-a-kind cocktails on the fly. Rounding out Schiller's beverage program is a roubust list of 400+ spirits, an esoteric wine and champagne selection by the bottle and glass, 20 international craft beers, and six "blue collar lagers" for just $4 each. The Samuel M. Nickerson House, located at 40 East Erie Street in the Near North Side neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, is a Chicago Landmark. It was designed by Edward J. Burling of the firm of Burling and Whitehouse and built for Samuel and Mathilda Nickerson in 1883. Samuel M. Nickerson was a prominent figure in the rising national banking industry, who was said to have owned at one point more national bank stock than anyone else in the United States. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and today is home to the Richard H. Driehaus Museum.
