Children's Theatre Company (CTC) began as The Moppet Players, a small company which produced creative dramatics, dance, and theatre for children. In 1965, The Moppet Players moved into the Minneapolis Institute of Art and in 1975 was incorporated as Children's Theatre Company. U.S. Bank Stadium is a fixed-roof stadium in the Downtown East section of Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, on the site of the demolished Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. U.S. Bank Stadium serves as the home of the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). The Vikings played at the Metrodome from 1982 until its closure in 2013 and before that at Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington, Minnesota from 1961 to 1981. During the 2014 and 2015 seasons, the Vikings played at TCF Bank Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota while the new stadium was being built. On June 17, 2016, U.S. Bank Stadium was deemed substantially complete by contractor Mortenson Construction. Authority to use and occupy the stadium was handed over to the Vikings and the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority. The stadium was substantially completed six weeks before the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will be held on July 22, 2016. The Vikings are scheduled to play the first regular season game at U.S. Bank Stadium on September 18, 2016, against the Green Bay Packers on NBC Sunday Night Football.It is the first fixed roof stadium built in the NFL since Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, opened in 2002. As of March 2015, the overall budget was estimated to be 1.061 billion, of which 348 million is coming from the state of Minnesota, 150 million from the city of Minneapolis, and 551 million coming from the team and private contributions. U.S. Bank Stadium is scheduled to host Super Bowl LII on February 4, 2018, and the 2019 NCAA Final Four. On June 15, 2015, the Vikings announced that U.S. Bank had acquired the naming rights to the stadium. The naming deal is worth $220 million over 25 years.

Semple Mansion was originally constructed as a residential mansion for Frank and Anne Semple and their family. In 1899, construction began on this three story mansion in the Second Italian Renaissance Revival style. The majority of the third floor holds The Grand Palladian Ballroom, the largest original residential ballroom in Minnesota. The New Century Theatre is an intimate live performance venue and a flexible use meeting and educational space established by Hennepin Theatre Trust and located adjacent to its offices in City Center. The New Century Theatre is known for hosting the popular New Century Sessions music series featuring Minnesota’s best local artists, as well as long-running comedy shows, Minneapolis Musical Theatre’s season and its own arts education activities and programs like Broadway Confidential. It was named after the original Century Theatre, one of four historic theatres on the block where City Center is now located. The original Century Theatre first opened in 1908 as a 2,000 seat vaudeville house called the Miles Theatre - and has once again been transformed into a theatre for the community.
