The Bradbury Building is an architectural landmark located at 304 South Broadway at West 3rd Street in downtown Los Angeles, California. Built in 1893, the building was commissioned by Los Angeles gold-mining millionaire Lewis L. Bradbury and constructed by draftsman George Wyman from the original design by Sumner Hunt. It appears in many works of fiction and has been the site of many movie and television shoots and music videos. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977, one of only four office buildings in Los Angeles to be so honored. It was also designated a landmark by the Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission and is the city's oldest landmarked building.HistoryLewis L. Bradbury (November 6, 1823 – July 15, 1892) was a gold-mining millionaire - he owned the Tajo mine in Sinaloa, Mexico - who became a real estate developer in the later part of his life. In 1892 he began planning to construct a five-story building at Broadway and Third Street in Los Angeles, close to the Bunker Hill neighborhood. A local architect, Sumner Hunt, was hired to design the building, and turned in a completed design, but Bradbury dismissed Hunt's plans as inadequate to the grand building he wanted. He then hired George Wyman, one of Hunt's draftsmen, to do the design. Bradbury supposedly felt that Wyman understood his own vision of the building better than Hunt did, but there is no concrete evidence that Wyman changed Hunt's design, which has raised some controversy about who should be considered to be the architect of the building.
For the audiences that attend the live screenings, Channel 101 is a chance to sit in the worn-out chair of the fat network exec, drunk on the blood of lowly artists whose right to exist is given in exchange for their ability to nourish. If there are 10 shows in the screening and 7 of them are good, that means 2 good shows aren't coming back and the power of life and death is in your hands. Base your decision on whatever you want. You run the network. You pick the programming. Then come back in a month and see the next episodes of the shows you picked- plus a healthy crop of new pilots. Dump the whole lineup and start fresh, or keep your favorite show running all year. Unlike "real" television, at Channel 101, what you want is what you get more of, and the day you stop wanting something is the day it stops. For the creatives that participate, Channel 101 is where the rubber meets the road. The deadlines are unreasonable, the time limit is impossible, the pay is non existent and the judgment is blunt. The amount of ego and sense of entitlement with which you enter is exactly proportional to the amount of pain you'll experience before you leave. Channel 101 is where you learn three things: How to fail, how to succeed, and finally, how there is no difference between the two. After all, the only thing as bad as being told your pilot failed is being told that your third episode was worse than your second. And the only thing as good as having the number one show is having a chance to come back with something new. In the mean time, you become harder, faster and fearless. You surrender to the audience as life-giving God and acquire total creative freedom through that surrender. You make connections with fellow creatives, you have something to look forward to all the time and for a few shining moments here and there, you're in the zone and your life takes on a little meaning. Audiences: Please join us at our next FREE screening. We have one every month here in Los Angeles. Directors: Be a part of our movement. Every month you sit around and think about what you're going to do is a month you could've done something. Turn yourself loose and submit to Channel 101.

Our mother, an avid juicer of 20 years, truly inspired us. Roughly 3 years ago, as juicing for ourselves became a daily ritual, we tossed around the idea of starting this business. Our passion for commercial juicing became very evident, as we quickly and quite naturally found ourselves preaching to friends and family, just as our mother had to us. And just like our mother had made fresh juice for us, we also found ourselves doing the same for the ones we love, which, kick-started “PBJ” into a reality with a watershed of positive feedback. Over the years, we have honed our techniques, incorporating methods used from the documented success of the Gerson Therapy, and the core philosophy of Hippocrates, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. Our obsession with creating an unrivaled Cold-Pressed Juice has become a labor of love and we firmly believe our resulting product will provide the best tool for Re-balancing, Re-energizing, and Detoxifying the body. Each Raw & Un-Pasteurized juice is bottled the instant it’s pressed, providing a quick, no-nonsense method for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, or simply trying to kick-start a new health routine by conveniently providing ones daily dose of Fruits and Vegetables. Each Press Brothers Juice is easily assimilated by the body, comes with a “No Judgment Guarantee” on the lifestyle you currently live, and will consistently blow-the-minds of hardcore juice fanatics, providing up to 4 to 6 times more vitamins, minerals and enzymes than the typical homemade juice. Over the years, we have experienced the vast amount of trending health kicks, but in our honest, personal opinion, nothing has rivaled the benefits felt from a daily cup of homemade fresh-pressed vegetable juice.
Autonomie is an organic space for experimental projects in the arts. As a non-profit gallery our goal is to promote community building by cultivating an ongoing dialog about the arts with people from different economic, political and cultural backgrounds. Invitations to show at Autonomie are offered on a rotating basis to those individuals or collectives engaged in producing critical interventions in the field of contemporary art. Accepting the opportunity to show at Autonomie is only for individuals or groups that openly welcome questions about the context of their work, the general trajectory of their overture and the goals of their artistic practice. As such, Autonomie doesn't favor any particular medium or set of aesthetic criteria - all types of production are encouraged from the most immaterial of actions to every form of object based production.
