The first 'Chup' opened in March 16th 2005 at the Phinney Ridge location with just barely enough money scraped up and calling in favors from the owners friends and family. The old jukebox was filled with their favorite punk rock and heavy metal tunes. The menu was simple and all written on a chalk board by the kitchen. Burritos and Tacos, four meat choices and tons of fresh homemade salsa, rice, beans and all the fixins. With no advertising and a simple menu the two just figured they sell a few burritos to their friends and get a few people in for the good beer and cocktails. Seattle was hungry for good, fresh, homemade Mexican food liked the relaxed atmosphere, great prices, and the people keep coming hungry for more. In 2011 we opened a second location on Alki Beach. Summer 2015 we opened our third location in a bigger better space in Chandlers Cove on the edge of South Lake Union!

The owners of Prost! and the Nickerson Street Saloon are joining with two others to open The Ridge restaurant at 7217 Greenwood Ave. N., next to Ken’s Market. The Ridge, a family-friendly restaurant, will serve pizza, sandwiches and salads. The Ridge will also have a bar, and will serve beer, wine and liquor. They will not offer delivery, but will have take-out.
The Woodlands is a family owned pizza restaurant in the Greenlake neighborhood of Seattle. We opened 4 years ago under the name, The Boardroom Cafe, but changed names when we added pizza, beer and wine to our menu. In the morning, we specialize in fast casual food, like our breakfast burritos & fried egg sandwiches, served alongside Stumptown Coffee. In the evening hours we will begin serving hand crafted wood fired pizza with an emphasis on local sourced cured meats and seasonal vegetables. Gluten free crust and paleo options available. We will have nearly a dozen northwest craft beers on draught, as well as cider, gluten free beer, and a thoughtfully sourced wine list.
