A DJ event specializing in an eclectic mix of: electronic body music, new beat, neo-ebm, classic industrial and teknoid rhythms. What: PRODUKT•313 a monthly specializing in an eclectic mix of: electronic body music, new beat, neo-ebm, classic industrial and teknoid rhythms. Why: Inspired and influenced by many of the best club nights on both sides of the Atlantic (Such as Endurance Club, Maldoror, Das Bunker, Something Cold, Lil Death and Black Lobster amongst others), Detroit's PRODUKT•313 aims to specialize in underground dance music with diversity. We’ll give you a mix of the history that still inspires today, as well as showcase the rise of new acts that soon will leave their mark. We’re going to keep the subculture modern. We aim to recapture that excitement when individuals would go to a club to be engaged with the music. We look to open your minds and introduce you to a broad spectrum of sounds, resurrecting, showcasing and decimating sounds from across the electronic wave spectrum, forgotten and new, classics, anthems and dancefloor killers. If “what else” doesn’t excite you, you’re not paying attention. How: From Vinyl - into your hearts and minds, to make your body move and your feet stomp. Who: Music mixed by Marc Church (DJ Saint). Church (aka DJ Saint) is a Detroit based DJ who has spent over two decades immersed in the industrial, electronic, noise, ebm, and dark techno genres. A long-time DJ, his past DJ activities have included: Resident DJ slots at Labyrinth Detroit, City Club Detroit (2002-2010), and Factory at Necto (Ann Arbor). He launched or was involved in the startup of several nights in Detroit and Ann Arbor including Dead-Line at the Works (Detroit), Struktur (Cavern Club Ann Arbor), and Mars Bar Industrial Wednesdays as well as Kink at Shadow Bar (both formerly in Hamtramck). Marc has travelled all around the states DJ’ing and recently was honored to spin two sets at Los Angeles legendary Das Bunker in 2013. His DJ’ing has also taken him overseas twice, to DJ at the UK’s premier festival of electronic music, Infest, in 2004 and 2006. Current regular DJ activities include frequent sets at Plastic Passions (Necto Red Room, Ann Arbor https://www.facebook.com/PlasticPassion) and Something Cold (Detroit https://www.facebook.com/somethingcold). A huge lover of music, Church possesses an equally as huge knowledge of the past and present of electronic genres. When not DJ'ing he's scouring the bins at record stores adding to an immense vinyl collection, and pushing information on new music via Facebook and other sources. Church continues to mix the innovative pioneers with the progressive newcomers, the obscure with the recognizable - all the while perpetually maintaining a technical and inventive rhythmic flow that makes his sets both danceable and emotionally moving.
