Serving Women, Couples, Adolescent Girls A native of St. Louis, MO., Brandy Cruesoe has been serving her community as a licensed therapist since 2008. Brandy has worked in a range of settings including community mental health; family service agencies; schools; women’s crisis centers, and in-patient psychiatric treatment hospitals. Brandy holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology as well as a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Her official clinical licensing is Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Missouri, by the State Committee for Social Workers. She is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Sex Therapist (CST) with the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), and holds active membership with this organization. Brandy has been in the Behavioral Health field since 2005, and has experience working with acute mental illness in adults; adult and teen survivors of sexual assault and abuse; as well as families struggling with parent/teen dynamics. Brandy has experience co-facilitating groups with topics ranging from reclamation of self and intimacy after sexual assault/abuse; improving self esteem; healthy relationships; body image; peer pressure; goals and planning for life after high school; exploring life skills and topics while integrating hip hop music; and support groups for parents of youth who have experienced sexual violence. Brandy is a therapist dedicated to bringing forth and supporting the best in clients, so they can live more fruitful lives. Her goal is to support clients who seek to heal from sexual trauma; manage symptoms of anxiety and depression; manage stress; improve self esteem; manage anger; increase communication and adaptive skills, and remove barriers within intimate partner relationships; and cope with the stressors of everyday life.
