AmberSky is a unique business. Our customers include future photographers, students, local artists, and parents. About the Owner: I grew up in a house where my father always had a camera taking pictures of my sister and I. It was rare to find my father without his camera. He wanted to be sure to capture all those special moments of his two daughters growing up. Before I was even walking (well almost) I knew how to use a camera. My father had instilled the importance and value of being able to stop a special moment in time to me. I have grown up and now have two beautiful boys of my own. It seems like everyday when I wake up they have changed so much. I now understand why my father always had his camera. I feel like I am instilling these same values into my son, Dmitri, who is now 2 ½ years old. He has one of my old film cameras that he enjoys pretending to take pictures. His favorite thing to take pictures of his thunder when storms come. He will stand inside at a window and pretend to document the storms as they roll though. Children hold a special spot in my heart – they are so sweet, innocent, and precious. Part of why I became a newborn/family photographer. As a mother I understand how fast time speeds up and it seems like a day when really two weeks have gone by. Taking pictures and stopping those little moments in time so that they can become lasting memories is so important with our little ones. Being a mom myself I understand the importance and safety of newborn photography. It is so important to find a professional photographer that has training specifically in newborn photography when searching for a newborn photographer. This is why I attend workshops and classes so that you can be relaxed knowing your newborn is safe during our photography session. I earned my Bachelors degree and Teaching Certificate in Middle School Science in 2011. I have been taking pictures as a hobby for many years. I began my photography career as a young girl in 4-H and Girl Scouts. I have had many jobs working for professional photography organizations throughout the years. Three years ago, I opened my own photography business operating out of my house. Over these three years I have seen the need for education on the new art of digital photography, especially in our youth. I am happy to offer an educational facility on the art of digital photography to our youth and to support them as they grow to become professional photographers or hobbyists.
