Join the Junior League of Atlanta on Sunday, March 6, 2016 for the Shamrock ‘N Roll Road Race. Runners, kilt runners, walkers, strollers and dogs joined in the 2015, the Shamrock ‘N Roll Road Race- one of Atlanta’s fastest growing family focused 5k and 10k races. The Shamrock ‘N Roll features a family friendly 5k, 10k, and Kids 1K for little runners ages 5 and under. Participants will also enjoy post-race festivities including food, beverages, and sponsor booths and activities.
Hunger Walk is an annual event presented by the Atlanta Community Food Bank to help end hunger here in Atlanta. The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta is historically the largest faith-based fundraiser for this event. Join us!

UNIMA-USA is the North American Center of Union Internationale de la Marionnette, the oldest international theatre organization in the world, founded in 1929. The organization's mission is to promote international understanding and friendship through the art of puppetry.
The foundation public spaces and sustainable community developments include the classically-styled monumental arch, The Millennium Gate located in Atlantic Station in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia.,The Millennium Gate Museum located within narrates Georgia's and Atlanta's history through 21st century interactive technology, film, and exhibitions and The Prince of Wales World Athletes Monument to the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta. Projects in development include: The Frederick Law Olmstead designed Historic Mims Park in the heart of the area in Atlanta that gave birth to the leaders of the American Civil Rights movment, The Adams Family Memorial in Washington D. C. to honor the political and social contributions of the family, beginning with John and Abigail Adams and a new design for the Eisenhower Memorial in Washington D.C. that offers a noble and beautiful space adjacent to other presidential monuments, where visitors could come to honor the Supreme Allied Commander and 34th President of the United States.
We are a year of service program for young adults 21-30. If you are interested in living in intentional community with others, exploring your spiritual life and the Quaker faith tradition, and serving in a full time position in a nonprofit, this program might be for you!
About Planet Atlanta The original Planet Atlanta started out as a print newspaper dedicated to covering international communities within the city. The paper’s founder, Molly Read Woo, came up with the name when dining at a Vietnamese café, which was just down the street from a Latin music store and an international farmers market along the Buford Highway corridor. People from every part of the planet call Atlanta home, she thought – but so few of them were well represented in local media at the time. The first issue of Planet Atlanta - The International Journal debuted in January 1994 with a circulation of 10,000. News about local entrepreneurs, cultural happenings, international trade and social organizations, as well as regular features of the monthly journal like the “Ask Jay” the Immigration Advisor column and the Planet Pup Comics strip soon became hits with native Atlantans and newcomers alike. With its broad and inclusive coverage, Planet Atlanta opened up media access to the region’s more diverse residents and created a welcoming atmosphere of multiculturalism in the city, which was particularly helpful to Atlanta’s civic leaders as they prepared to host the world for the 1996 Olympics. The 21st century Planet Atlanta is a multi-media and multi-format organization covering people from all walks of life in Atlanta; our industry, our art, our challenges, our history and latest happenings. We no longer limit ourselves to local subjects that have a predominantly global angle. Now anything newsworthy in Atlanta is part of our beat. And why still call it Planet Atlanta? Because anything that happens in Atlanta may in one way or another affect the entire Planet – and anything that happens around this Planet will most likely impact our lives here. We’re all in this together. Planet Atlanta now consists of a website, a public access TV show, and a community of people who care about each other and the events taking place daily in our city.
