David Bushnell and Richard Parker met while studying for their Bachelor of Architecture degrees at Cornell University, and they have remained close friends ever since. Their post-college career of collaboration was born out of a shared vision that architecture can make the world a better place. They committed to an architecture practice of integrity, one that combined honest materials with harmonious modern design, honoring the roots of each site to create warm, inviting spaces. It is within this balanced philosophy that their ecologically intelligent architecture firm was born. Since its inception, 450 Architects has defied limits, forging an innovative practice of ecologically mindful architecture. Before the term “sustainability” became mainstream, 450 Architects promoted the benefits of earth-preserving practices through advocacy and action. While invested in creating the best possible environments, as architects we are not interested in imposing merely our own perspective onto our projects. Rather, we work with our clients with an ethos of partnership and equanimity to help bring the best possible version of the client’s own vision to fruition. 450 Architects’ approach is collaborative and hands-on, balancing conceptual innovation with thoughtful craftsmanship to shape soulful spaces and structures. Our expertise translates perfectly to a diverse variety of assignments, both large and small scale: residential, commercial, renewable, educational, and open and public space. While we have a passionate interest in creating beautiful private dwellings,we are particularly driven toward civic work, a deeply engaged consideration of how a building can impact a wider public and accommodate people in a nourishing, uplifting, and lasting way.

Founded in 1997, BALDAUF CATTON VON ECKARTSBERG Architects (BCV) practices Architecture, Planning, Interiors and Furnishings Design for a variety of project types including private residences, restaurants, specialty food shops, retail stores, wineries, public markets, mixed-use developments and retail shopping centers. BCV Architects believes in seamlessly integrating Architecture and Interiors. As our projects frequently involve design from master planning down to the detailed design of furnishings and accessories, we have extensive experience and passion for design in its variety of form and scale. Whatever the design problem, the challenge that inspires us is to create sensitive, simple, elegant solutions, respecting context and, most importantly, responding to our clients' needs. Whether the project aesthetic tends toward the traditional or contemporary, we believe in sound fundamental principles of design, finding inspiration and beauty, not in overly self-conscious gestures, but rather in the restraint of paying attention to context, scale, proportion, quality of materials and execution of details.
Feldman Architecture is dedicated to creating buildings that sit gracefully and lightly on the earth: beautiful, healthful, and soulful spaces that enhance our clients’ lives, our communities, and the environment. We strive, in our designs, to pair boldness with simplicity. We work in conversation with clients and colleagues: listening without preconception, sharing visions and values, generating ideas and sifting possibilities together, finding a clear and compelling focus. This collaborative process helps us devise solutions that are responsive to program and context, sustainable, and elegant. We take seriously our obligations and opportunities as architects to respect, and even restore, the natural environment. Drawing upon past wisdoms as well as contemporary building science, we aspire to create structures that conserve resources and that move architecture to ecologically and ethically responsible designs. We believe in the importance of great design because we understand that the quality of architecture shapes the quality of life and that what we create can be meaningful for many generations.
