We provide comprehensive global immigration services from offices in Dallas, Houston, McLean, Va., San Francisco and Washington, D.C., and through our migration services support companies in Geneva, London, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Shanghai, Singapore and Sydney. Our network partners expand our reach in over 100 countries. BAL attorneys work together to provide an unprecedented level of expertise and excellence within one firm. BAL represents a wide range of companies, from some of the world’s largest corporations to small start-ups in emerging growth industries. LEGAL SERVICES BAL manages the corporate immigration needs of employers around the world. Regardless of company size or project complexity, we plan, execute, and manage the full spectrum of U.S. and global immigration matters ranging from designing corporate immigration programs to processing international visas. The firm’s commitment to service drives everything we do, based upon clear standards for client communications, advanced information technologies, well-honed project management processes, and a firm-wide belief that all matters are urgent and all deadlines are absolute. Our client-tailored services are backed by a standard of excellence that has contributed to our reputation as a firm at the summit of the immigration bar. The senior partners are not only renowned among their peers, but are often called upon for their counsel on immigration issues by policymakers and staff in the U.S. Congress and in federal agencies. We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of analyzing new policies and alerting the industry to relevant issues of concern. In all our work, we never lose sight of our primary focus — that of easing the workload of human resources departments and accelerating the employment prospects for foreign nationals while ensuring that our clients maintain the highest standards of regulatory compliance. BAL provides the following comprehensive services: U.S. Nonimmigrant and Immigrant Visa Services – BAL manages all aspects of employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant (green card) visas. We provide comprehensive service and strategic consultation on the best way to manage cases, including gathering information and documents, obtaining any necessary translations and credentials evaluations, placing advertisements in connection with labor certification applications, preparing and filing applications, and guiding the foreign nationals through the application process. In addition, we track expiration dates and provide alerts to our clients so that petitions to extend status, if needed, may be filed on a timely basis. Global Migration Services – We provide comprehensive management of global visa matters and customized application approaches for work permits, business visas and resident permits in over 100 countries. BAL’s unique approach includes coordinating services in both the home and host countries. We adapt our approach to match that of our clients, but we typically provide a single point of contact in the time zone of the company’s global mobility managers or key offices, while providing dedicated account management in a centralized office. Our integrated systems guide employees and managers through global visa and immigration processes, always focusing on the company’s obligations for compliance around the world. U.S. Government Relations – As leaders in the field of corporate immigration law, we recognize that some of our clients’ most pressing problems can be solved only at the policy level. Our government relations capabilities are unparalleled in the field of corporate immigration, and our capacity to help shape immigration policy, regulations, and legislation is a key strategic approach we use to help our clients achieve the results they need. Our government relations partners include the former Chief Counsel of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), a past president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and an Executive Director of AILA. These partners work regularly with the U.S. Congress, the White House and federal immigration agencies. Corporate Immigration Policy Development – We assist in developing and maintaining comprehensive corporate immigration policies. We help determine which approaches are best suited to a company, draft the policy and process documents, maintain existing policy or process documents, and provide guidance on communicating and implementing the policies uniformly across clients’ offices. I-9 and E-Verify Program Services – The employment verification process is the central focus of aggressive new Department of Homeland Security enforcement policies, and these initiatives reach employers across the spectrum. Thousands of employers across the nation are facing an unprecedented wave of I-9 inspections by ICE, with potentially serious consequences for the employers. A rigorous I-9 compliance strategy is now more important than ever. The proper collection and storage of I-9 information creates many challenges for employers, and the stakes include civil and even criminal penalties, along with business disruptions, adverse public relations, and other serious problems. The form itself invites technical errors, and responsible employers face immense organizational and logistical challenges in administering a compliant nationwide program. With increasing scrutiny by regulators, effective oversight of the I-9 program is critical to companies wishing to avoid liability. BAL can provide clients with unparalleled assistance in implementing an integrated electronic I-9 and E-Verify completion and storage solution, with comprehensive I-9 program management and seamless interface with E-Verify. Program Management Assistance – We aid employers in the administration of their immigration programs by providing technology tools and guidance on internal systems and policies. We are innovators of technology systems and applications that improve the delivery of quality client service and legal work. We reassess our proprietary technology on a regular basis to ensure that our clients find it to be of maximum informative value and to keep it in step with new legal developments. Our proprietary CIMS, StatusChek®, and GlobalChek® systems demonstrate our technological creativity that is directed toward benefiting our clients.

Mr. Feder has spent more than 27 years working tirelessly to make sure that his clients receive the full protection of the laws protecting them from abuse in the workplace. We focus almost exclusively on representing Northern California (San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Marin, Alameda and Contra Costa County) employees to help them enforce their rights to work in a fair and equitable workplace. Our cases include harassment and discrimination in the workplace, disability discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, wage and hour violations, and whistleblower cases. We have seen firsthand the impact that it can have on employees' lives when they are confronted with those types of dehumanizing behaviors in the workplace. The stress that is generated by having to work in a harassing or discriminatory environment takes a serious toll on the employee, their personal life and, ultimately, can cause an employee to be unable to continue in their position. No one should have to endure discrimination or harassment to be able to maintain their employment. Our firm is committed to helping employees assert their rights in all situations. The Law Offices of Daniel Feder offer representation on a contingency fee basis. Also, we offer free initial consultations to the public. Outlet Mall Investigation
Distance: 0.3 mi Competitive Analysis
601 California Street, Suite 1400
San Francisco, CA 94108

(877) 715-2990

Our attorneys are investigating outlet stores that may be advertising merchandise at fake discounts. In recent years, many outlet stores manufacture merchandise specifically for sale in outlet stores. This made-for-outlet merchandise is often of lower quality and is advertised at retailing at a higher price than it is ever actually sold. Have you purchased discounted items from an outlet store? If you have purchased discounted items from an outlet store and you still have the receipts or tags, our false advertising lawyers would like to speak with you. Call toll free (877) 715-2990 for a free legal consultation and to learn more about our investigation. Stores Primarily Carry Items Made Specifically for Outlets While many consumers believe that outlet stores carry last year’s trends or clearance items from regular retail stores, in many outlet stores, however, a significant amount of merchandise is made or bought specifically for outlets. For example, according to a report by Racked, only about 20 percent of items at Nordstrom Rack were originally sold at Nordstrom stores or the website. The rest is purchased expressly for the outlet. A report by Buzzfeed describes how: Bebe has said it believes it can sustain outlets with 65% made-for-outlet merchandise, while American Eagle has said it anticipates carrying 75% made-for-factory items starting this year. Under Armour said in September that its outlets have recently carried 75% made-for-outlet goods, while Children’s Place said its proportion is closer to 80%. Coach and high-end luggage maker Tumi have said 85% of their outlet goods are made-for-factory. Vera Bradley said it plans to carry more made-for-factory items because it has learned it’s downright problematic to carry retired designs “right on the heels” of selling them at full price. In January 2014, four members of Congress called for an investigation into misleading marketing practices by outlet stores across the United States. According to the letter: Historically, outlets offered excess inventory and slightly damaged goods that retailers were unable to sell at regular retail stores. Today, however, some analysts estimate that upwards of 85% of the merchandise sold in outlet stores was manufactured exclusively for these stores. Outlet-specific merchandise is often of lower quality than goods sold at non-outlet retail locations. While some retailers use different brand names and labels to distinguish merchandise produced exclusively for outlets, others do not. This leaves consumers at a loss to determine the quality of outlet-store merchandise carrying brand-name labels. Outlet Stores Advertised Discounts May be Fake In addition to reports that a significant amount of outlet merchandise is produced specifically for outlets, industry insiders have described how the advertised price discounts on these items are not authentic. For example, an outlet buyer for a luxury department store told LearnVest: “When I bought merchandise for an outlet, I not only determined the selling price as I typically would, I also created a fake ‘full price’ for each item that would get marked on the labels. But, of course, our markup was based on the selling price.”

Creative Vision Legal is a law firm offering online legal services tailored to small business owners, artists, and musicians. The firm also serves the San Francisco Bay Area from an office in downtown San Francisco close to all major transportation routes. About the owner Michael J. Thomas: After receiving my JD I went back to law school and received an LLM in IP Law from Golden Gate University School of Law, with Honors, in 2005. My interest in intellectual property law stems from my musical background. I started playing guitar in 1981 when I was 13 years old, and played in various bands in Tampa, FL and San Francisco until 2001. I became interested in sound recording during college and took courses at SYCOM, the University of South Florida School of Music’s suite of electronic music studios. After a bad experience recording one of my band’s records at a local Tampa studio, I vowed to never hand the reigns over to another engineer in the future. After moving to San Francisco in 1993 I became a partner in my own project recording studio from 1994-1996, and then opened my own commercial recording studio and independent record label in 1997. While in law school, I moonlighted in my studio, honing my engineering chops by recording everything from Indian classical singers to punk rock bands, and my own projects. I eventually folded the studio and record label in 2003, but recently set up the remnants of the studio in my garage to collaborate with and record my budding 5 year old daughter/pop star. Creative Vision Legal melds my legal experience and love of the artistic process and its results with the core values I think are missing from much of the current state of online legal services.
