St. John Hosptial and Medical Center's Pharmacy Post Graduate Year One (PGY1) Residency is an organized, directed, post graduate program developing adept pharmacists with advanced knowledge in the application of pharmaceutical care and the skills to be leaders in improving patient safety.

Providence is affiliated with leading national oncology research and treatment programs, offering the newest treatments and clinical trials to patients in southeast Michigan. From screening to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care, to research, healing arts, and education. Certain cancer tumors can be removed through surgery. Sometimes surgery is a stand-alone treatment option. For other people, it may be combined with radiation and/or chemotherapy. Surgical specialization is available in breast, thoracic (lung and esophagus), colorectal, urological, prostate, pancreatic, and gynecologic cancers. Our oncology surgeons also collaborate with diagnostic imaging radiologists to offer radiofrequency ablation to patients who are candidates for the procedure.
