The St. Louis Association of Community Organizations (SLACO) is a coalition of neighborhood associations in the St. Louis metro area. For 35 years SLACO has provided networking and learning opportunities through a signature annual conference and many other events. Sometimes SLACO engages in advocacy when neighborhoods identify a common cause. In addition, SLACO has partnered with developers to provide low- and moderate-income housing. In particular SLACO is active in the West End neighborhood, where it programs a community center.
CDM BACK TO SCHOOL is a nonprofit organization in St. Louis, Missouri, that's proud to supply children with school supplies to improve their back-to-school experience. Help us better education for children throughout the area and make a monetary donation or donate school supplies, so children throughout the area are more prepared for their first day back to class. Praise Break is a Christian based dance studio that offers a place where children and adults can learn diverse styles of dance all while gaining spiritual growth. Here at Praise Break we focus on building our dancers by breaking down barriers, like low self esteem & self deprecation, through praise dance! We believe in presenting our bodies as living sacrifices through dance. Our program offers a variety of dance styles & price options for all levels of interest. Praise Break instructors are passionate dancers. We embrace diversity and welcome people from all walks of life. The studio uses only faith based and inspirational music and incorporates prayer in every session. During each session, students are taught how to apply the fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, faithfulness, self-control, gentleness, and kindness in their lives. These principles allow the students to prepare spiritually and skillfully for our annual recital. The studio is a non-smoking, alcohol and weapon free environment. We aim to produce self confident dancers who exemplify grace, poise, and love.
