Busy with the Art of Entertainment! Renaissance Theatre does an average of 10 shows a year. At least two shows a year are added and are usually original works by various local playwrights. These new shows are workshopped at Renaissance Theatre.

Broadway Theatre League was founded in 1959 by the Business & Professional Women's Club of Huntsville and the shows were held at Huntsville High School! In the early days, touring theatre veterans Joan Bennett, Dorothy Lamour, John Carradine, and John Raitt came to Huntsville. In 1975, BTL moved the performances to the "new" Von Braun Center and brought bigger scale shows to town. The 1990's brought about the now standard weekend performance schedule and the beginning of the mega-musical. All types of Broadway shows have been presented, from blockbuster musicals, to obscure little plays and special once-in-a-lifetime events. Through is all, we have our season patrons to thank - many of whom have been with us for all 52 years! And we couldn't do what we do without our volunteers - those red-vest wearing ushers who devote their time to serve this organization.

Superpowered Studios is Huntsville’s home for comic book and pop culture art! Kevin Stokes and Nathan Massengill are professional comics artists with decades of experience working with publishers like Marvel and DC comics. Original art and prints line the studio walls! If you like superheroes, this place is for you! Lynn Day creates sculpture, jewelry, and fiber art featuring sci-fi and superhero icons. Her intricately crafted art dolls are truly something to geek out about! Come see us and all the other wonderful artists at the historic Lowe Mill Arts Center! Grace Davis is a weaver and fabric artisan with particular interests in designs and patterns complementing home and office décor. Her basketry experience began some twenty years ago when weavers in Fayetteville, North Carolina introduced her to the variety, intricacies, colors, and depths of options in this simple construct “of a container with an opening.” Wall baskets, Catheads, double-walled Markets--some baskets are practical and durable, others are specialized and delicate, but all reflect a combination of geometry and color unique to a circumstance and the artisan. Through the Grace Davis Basket Studio at Lowe Mill, Grace offers a variety of custom baskets reflecting the beauty and practicality of woven rattan. Monthly classes are offered corresponding to the season with special basket classes available upon request.
Logan Tanner graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2012 with a degree in Printmaking and Painting. He currently operates a studio/gallery space at Lowe Mill in Huntsville. You can find his studio at the Flying Monkey, located on the 2nd floor of Lowe Mill. You can also find additional prints by Logan at Green Pea Press, located on the 1st floor.
Chroma Workshop is an all ages venue located at Lowe Mill. We book all genre's of music. Show times are normally between 9pm and 1am, but other hours can be arranged. The rental fee is 250.00 for the evening. We provide the p.a., sound operator, lights, door people, clean up crew, etc. etc. We also have the capability to record the show (video and sound). Prices for this vary depending on the equipment needed, just email or message us for details.
