Saint Jude Chapel, located in the heart of downtown Dallas, has been serving in ministry to the business community and the Diocese of Dallas at large for 45 years. Dedicated on September 15, 1968, the chapel is the full realization of a dream nurtured in the loving hearts of Rev. Arthur C. Hughes and friends for more than a quarter of a century. St. Jude Chapel maintains a quiet, peaceful, meditative environment in the presense of Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Stained glass windows are provided with illuminated panels depicting the Stations of the Cross. The illuminated panels create an illusion of sunlight, and the chapel takes on a breadth greater than its actual dimensions. The cathedral sweep of the chapel ceiling is crowned with a stained glass skylight. People come and go at will throughout the day. Office workers and guests of the downtown hotels hurry to attend the daily Masses and confession. The Pastoral Staff is on hand to counsel, assist and console, nurturing the faithful through the Sacrament of Penance, the Holy Eucharist, and Anointing of the Sick. Generous hearted, dedicated volunteers are present to answer telephones, keep records, set up appointments, and assist those seeking information.

Diecezja Dallas jest diecezją Kościoła rzymskokatolickiego w północnej części stanu Teksas.HistoriaDiecezja została kanonicznie erygowana 15 lipca 1890 przez papieża Leona XIII. Wyodrębniono ją z terenów ówczesnej diecezji diecezji Galveston. Pierwszym ordynariuszem został kapłan pochodzenia irlandzkiego z diecezji Erie Thomas Francis Brennan (1853-1916). Diecezja kilkakrotnie traciła część terytoriów, rosnąca liczba katolików w regionie powodowała bowiem rozrastanie się struktur kościelnych w Teksasie. Za 43 letniej kadencji bpa Josepha Lyncha powstały diecezje: El Paso, Amarillo i Austin. W latach 1953-1969 diecezja Dallas nosiła nazwę diecezja Dallas-Fort Worth. 9 sierpnia 1969 po ustanowieniu nowej diecezji Fort Worth, diecezja Dallas powróciła do starej nazwy.OrdynariuszeThomas Francis Brennan (1890-1892)Edward Joseph Dunne (1893-1910)Joseph Patrick Lynch (1911-1954)Thomas Kiely Gorman (1954-1969)Thomas Tschoepe (1969-1990)Charles Grahmann (1990-2007)Kevin Farrell (2007-2016)
