Carmel's is located in a repurposed 1940's house that has changed over the years from a bakery to a restaurant. This new friendly “urban chic” décor uses a combination of vintage, mid-century modern and classic furniture. A long wood counter top is punctuated with a vintage wood frontage. Seating combines a mix of long, brown leather booths and old "schoolhouse," natural wood chairs. Two sit-down counters with comfortable leather high top chairs are the perfect vantage points for people watching or laptop work. Exposed ceiling rafters and a stained natural concrete floor infuse Carmel’s with a slightly industrial edge. And, local artists work is featured throughout to inject energy, movement and a sense of community. Outdoor seating is available in the front of the shop and a soon-to–be-built outdoor back patio affords views of Camelback Mountain.
