We have had some clients guess that our name was a play on amigo — and though we do like the thought of being referred to as a friend, that’s not it. The name comes from an acronym that we would write about items that came across our desk that we didn’t have the time to deal with. It wasn’t that they were not important, it was simply that they weren’t the best use of our time. (Okay, so some of them weren’t important to us, but apparently needed to be done.)
Anyway, the acronym was MIGA – Make It Go Away. We added the O for Office and OMiga was born.

* Tax Resolution *
When you have Tax Problems we step in to defend you. Are you under an IRS Audit, or have a Tax Lien or Tax Levy? Do you have a Tax Bill too big to pay? It's our job to represent you to the Federal, State, or local government.
A Tax Lien, Tax Levy, and Garnished Wages can really make your life miserable! When your taxes are not paid the IRS establishes a lien against all of your assets (especially real estate). This gives the IRS the legal right to collect taxes from the sale of your assets, which includes just about everything you own. We can help. We will develop the best defense for your situation. We will stop the Collection calls, letters and visits. Relax and call THORNTON Tax!
* Tax Accounting *
Our goal is to offer tax preparation, planning and compliance services that will save you money, time, and stress. The tax laws are complex and constantly changing, so we strive to be knowledgeable and take advantage of all deductions and credits that can minimize your tax liability and maximize your refund.
We work closely with our clients to understand their specific financial situation in order to develop the best plans for their needs now and in the future.
Our mission is to provide innovative, intuitive and individualized financial solutions that help promote your lasting and vibrant business health.
It in 1995 our founder, Nate Salah started our parent corporation, Salah Financial Corp, preparing taxes (the old fashioned way). Back then we didn’t have fancy computer systems to help with data entry or calculations. Nope, it was just pencils, Blue or Red Federal and State forms and thick government publications.
Through a shared vision, the organization developed a passion to help small businesses succeed. Our company grew from one location to two locations to three to four with many committed team experts who just so happened to be exceptionally personable (and smart!) with backgrounds ranging from grant writing to non-profit to corp to audit to cost accounting to business formation to taxation and more.
Over time we expanded our services from individual to small business, added payroll, bookkeeping, business formation, financial & managerial strategy and created a entrepreneur’centric (is that a word?) brand called accountRely. Whoo – we’ve been busy!
Today we’re based out of St. Louis, Missouri with a fun and professional office, a solid team of tenured pros, and the most awesome clients from all around this great nation. It is our mission to make the most helpful suite of accounting solutions available to entrepreneurs everywhere and our vision to make a difference in the lives of small business by promoting business health wherever we can help.
We sincerely hope you’ll partner with us – but only if there’s a solution we can help you achieve. We don’t believe in selling anything…we look at everyday and every opportunity as though we are in the problem solving business.
The East-West Gateway Council of Governments (EWG) provides a forum for local governments of the bi-state St. Louis area to work together to solve problems that cross jurisdictional boundaries. The EWG region consists of the 4,500 square miles encompassed by the city of St. Louis and its surrounding seven counties: Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles, and St. Louis counties in Missouri; and Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair counties in Illinois.
East-West Gateway is the federally designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the St. Louis region, which means that the federal government and the states have given legal authority and responsibility to EWG for developing and adopting plans for the region’s surface transportation system. Most major road and transportation projects get a majority of their funding from the federal government and therefore must go through the EWG planning and approval process.
East-West Gateway’s designation as a regional council of governments (COG) means that the agency has the civic responsibility for cooperative planning and problem-solving among any of its member local governments who want to work together for the common good. Although much of this cooperative planning takes place among the eight major jurisdictions of the region, it is not uncommon to find several small cities and towns clustered around a community betterment initiative started or overseen by East-West Gateway. These initiatives address issues as diverse as tax policy, environmental quality, public safety, workforce development, access to jobs, economic development, community planning, and others that might be of interest to members of the EWG Board of Directors.

Welcome to the website for the Basilica of Saint Louis, King... the Parish of St. Louis fondly known as the Old Cathedral.
The Old Cathedral is one of the most historic buildings in St. Louis with roots dating back to 1764 when St. Louis founders Pierre Laclede and Auguste Chouteau dedicated a parcel of land to the people of St. Louisfor religious purposes that was called the "church block". The present building is the fourth church to be erected on the site. Construction began in 1831 and the church was dedicated in 1834.
It is the oldest building in the City of St. Louis and the only building that remains in the hands of its original owner, the Archdiocese of St. Louis. It has always been a place that welcomes and nurtures people of all faiths, including those of the Jewish faith as evidenced by the Latin and Hebrew inscriptions on the facade of the church.
We hope you will come and pray with us soon!
