Treatments with Julie will combine the current best research in orthopedics and movement science with the Pilates method for balancing the body with specific exercise and focused breathing to restore function, create healthy coordinated movement patterns, and reduce pain. Believe in the power of exercise! Expect to be touched, to move, to sweat. Julie has worked in a variety of orthopedic settings. She specializes in back pain and injury as well as post surgical rehabilitation. She compliments her manual therapy treatments with a variety of therapeutic approaches but emphasized those founded in functional biomechanics and Pilates. She believes that all patients must be empowered with the understanding of their particular movement dysfunction and provides them with the tools to improve it so they can attain their maximum performance level. Julie is a speaker for the Foundation for Osteoporosis Research and Education. She has worked with national stage performers from Wicked, Fiddler on the Roof, South Pacific, Teatro Zinzani, and dancers from the San Francisco Ballet, Oakland Ballet, Oberlin Dance Collective, Lines Ballet, Liss Fein, as well as Bay area athletes from sports teams of all levels.
