Ecliptic Brewing is a venture from John Harris, an icon in the rich history of Oregon craft brewing. The name Ecliptic unites Harris’ two passions; brewing and astronomy. The brewery celebrates the Earth’s yearly journey around the sun through both its beer and restaurant offerings. About the beer and food: Executive Chef Michael Molitor rotates his seasonally inspired menu every six weeks in accordance with the old world calendar. Harris’ signature beers include Spica Pilsner, Orbiter IPA, Capella Porter, and Phobos Single Hop Red Ale. Ecliptic Brewing’s yearly rotation also includes an out of this world variety of Seasonal beers, Special releases, Collaborations, and Barrel Aged specialties. About John Harris: John began as a brewer with McMenamins from 1986-1988. From there he went on to be the founding brewmaster for Deschutes Brewery, where he created the recipes for Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter, Jubelale, and Obsidian Stout. He spent the next 20 years of his illustrious career as a brew master for Full Sail Brewing running their brew master reserve program. Since 2013, Harris, along with his team, continue to create great beer, food, and experiences with Ecliptic Brewing. We want our brewery to be wildly successful, to give our customers the best beer and food we can, and when we are profitable we will give 100% of these profits toward organizations already engaged in changing the world. Some of us hunger and thirst for justice and to see relief and good in a hurting world. Some of us hunger and thirst for a meal and a fresh pint. Let's work on satisfying both.
PINTS is Everyday Coffee in the morning and a Brewery Taproom after 11:30 Mon-Fri. The Taproom is open at 8am on weekends for breakfast. We offer fresh locally roasted coffee, tasty pastries for breakfast from the coffee shop. At 11:30, we offer award-winning hand-crafted beers and a great menu selection of snacks and entrees. Saturday and Sunday our kitchen whips up a delicious brunch menu from 10am-2pm.
