From shooting the latest product for Anheuser Busch to photographing an interactive panorama of the fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis, Todd Davis collaborates with clients to convey their vision through fine photography. As a top graduate of Southern Illinois University’s rigorous photography program and a former studio manager of Jon Bruton Studios, Davis combines his expert training with more than thirty years of professional experience in commercial photography and fine art photography to create photographs that are both captivating and original. Not to be restricted to the inanimate, Davis has photographed celebrities including Prince, Michael Buble, Pamela Anderson, Greg Sporleder, and Ernest Trova, to name a few. Product, beverage, celebrity promotional, live performance, catalog fashion, and fine art fashion photography are all represented in the extensive Todd Davis portfolio. International and exotic location shooting experience is extensive. As a respected industry veteran, Todd Davis has been featured in publications such as View Camera, Toy Camera, and the reference book Artificial Lighting for Photography. Davis has also been a guest lecturer at Webster College and Southern Illinois University. His fine art photography has been exhibited in prestigious galleries and museums throughout the US; Davis is currently represented by Modern Art Etc in Los Angeles, and his latest works are featured in the Holly Hunt Galleries. In addition to photography, Todd also spent three years skiing professionally throughout Europe, Canada and the USA. His time away from photography is now spent enjoying music, motorcycling, and extensive fencing under the tutelage of Egyptian and Saudi Arabian national fencing team coaches.
City Studio is a new daylight photography rental studio located in downtown St. Louis. We are in the heart of the loft district in the Art Lofts right next to the City Museum. Our massive windows extend all the way to the top of our over 12ft ceiling and produce some of the beautiful light in town. The north facing windows are unobstructed and provide consistent soft light all day long. You don’t have to rent lights if you don’t want to since the natural light is absolutely gorgeous. Our primary shooting wall is gigantic at over 12ft tall and 16ft wide. It is perpendicular to the windows, faces west and can accommodate large group shots or even built sets. We also have a secondary shooting wall that is at a 45 degree angle that faces northeast towards the windows. At 13ft wide, the second shooting wall is great for model tests and portraits. It is at the perfect angle towards the windows and produces some of the best beauty light, naturally. Having such great natural light, you don’t have to use any strobes to create beautiful images. This is not only great for your photography but your budget as well. The studio is set up to be efficient and maximizes the space perfectly for photographers. But if you did need lights, we also own the latest in strobe and continuous lighting equipment that the pros use in LA and NYC. Our state of the art strobes are the latest in lighting technology along with the latest in wireless TTL. When you sign-up for workshops with us, we can teach you how to use the most up-to-date equipment, keeping your newly acquired skills as relevant as possible. We are also proficient in pro capture software. We can teach you how to control every aspect of your image capture to allow your vision to come to life. Our workflow has been tried and tested from shooting thousands of images for catalogs to on-location shooting where the variables can be quite challenging. Chronicle: Ferguson is creating a piece of history by compiling photos from eyewitness sources. We will use these photos to generate a book that will then be donated to St. Louis area schools. We hope this will spark discussions amongst the students and teachers of our schools. If you want your photos including please submit them to our website for consideration. We are also organizing photography workshops to teacher and inspire future generations to document their lives and the events effecting them. Those of us in the community know that Ferguson’s story is bigger than recent events. Broader. More hopeful. And the reaction in cities throughout the country and around the world show that there are many people out there whose hearts are with us. Until now, the story has been directed by the media. Our aim with Chronicle: Ferguson is to change that. We are seeking photographs from the community: citizens of Ferguson and St. Louis, participants in protests, anyone who has been affected by the events in our community. Whatever your story is, we want to show it. The Chronicle: Ferguson book will be created from the best photos submitted to our website, chosen by a three-person judging panel along with input from the community. We want to hear from you about the photos that move you or tell a part of the story that you hadn’t seen before. We are excited to receive the official support of the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum, who has agreed to promote Chronicle: Ferguson on their website and in their Museum shop. Let me start by saying thank you for stopping by my page. I really could not be following my dream with out so many people believing in me. I have had a strong passion for photography since I was in 3rd grade, when I received my first Mickey Mouse Camera for Christmas. You know the long rectangular kind with the disposable flash, now considered ancient. Needless to say my camera and my talent has come a long way since then. I have turned my passion in to a huge part of my life. Capturing memories is what drives me everyday to keep creating. I have an education in not only photography, but design which helps drive my creative side to help me think outside the box. I am always looking to take something to the next level. Outside of Photography I have found a love for graphics, interior design, gardening, cooking and baking as well as DIY projects. Many of the props that I have used with in my shoot are pieces that I have restored or created. Whether it be making tutus, refinishing chairs or baking a cake, I am ready to tackle the challenge to get the perfect image. When I am not capturing special moments in others lives I am creating my own memories. I am a wife to a loving and encouraging husband and a mother to 2 little crazy, wild, fun loving little guys. The Bell Telephone Building, located at 920 Olive Street in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, was built in 1889 for the purposes of housing the switchboard and local headquarters of the Bell Telephone Company. The building served as the main telephone exchange for St. Louis from its construction until 1926, and it is the oldest extant telephone building in St. Louis (and possibly was the first building constructed for the telephone industry in St. Louis).History and restorationThe earliest St. Louis telephone exchange was located in the National Bank Building at 417 Olive (since demolished) in 1878. By the late 1880s, space for a dedicated telephone exchange facility was needed. Groundbreaking occurred in 1889 after the acceptance of the Boston-based Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge design, and the final construction cost was $154,225. The main switchboard room was at the top of the building (then only six stories). Between 1890 and 1910 telephone use expanded dramatically, and the local St. Louis Bell Company merged with other Bell telephone companies to form Southwestern Bell by 1920. In 1923, Southwestern Bell absorbed the local St. Louis telephone competitor, Kinloch Telephone, adding to pressure on the capacity of the building. These pressures resulted in the construction of the nearby Southwestern Bell Building in St. Louis between 1923 and 1926.After Southwestern Bell vacated the building, it became used as a retail and warehouse facility for the St. Louis print company S.G. Adams Stationery, which was purchased by Comfort Printing in 1959 (but continued operating under the original name). The building became the flagship store for S.G. Adams during the 1960s through the 1980s. However, S.G. Adams refocused its business model on commercial printing in the early 1990s, closing its retail locations. The Bell Telephone Building became the final retail store of S.G. Adams, and it was closed and vacated in 1994.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is now a restored hotel with 91 guest rooms and is operated by Omni Hotels.Omni Majestic Hotel, St. Louis is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.The Majestic Hotel has 72000ft2 of space, nine stories and 109ft tall at its maximum height, and is based on a steel frame. It also has brick curtain walls and concrete floors. The hotel was designed as a tri-part structure, including a base, shaft, and capital, and is divided by the use of white terra cotta.HistoryMajestic HotelFirst opened near the end of September, 1914, the hotel is one of St. Louis' few hotels which date from before World War I and still exist today. The building's Renaissance Revival design is an example of common styles in St. Louis architecture in the 1920s. The hotel was built to serve middle-class guests, but it had advanced fireproofing, two restaurants, and a rathskeller.In 1913, construction for the hotel began, replacing a three-story building.
