Welcome to Chicago's favorite paint-it-yourself pottery studio! Bring your friends and family in to explore your artistic side! Come in and choose from our expansive selection of pottery to make your own. We'll glaze and fire your artwork and it will be ready to pick up in 7 days. One very important rule is that you must be at the store AT LEAST 2 hours before Closing Time on any day in order to start a project. Art takes longer than you think and we want to make it a stress free, pressure free process for you! ***We do not call when pieces are ready, it is YOUR responsibility to pick up your pottery after a week and WITHIN A MONTH. After a month, we go through all of the pottery and get rid of month old pieces!!!!! *PLEASE NOTE: We reserve the right to close at 7:30 pm Wednesday-Saturday if there are no painters, so pickups end at this time. We are a BYOB studio, so you can bring in beer, wine, champagne, etc. (no hard liquor) and remember to bring in your own cups. Wednesdays and Thursdays are ADULTS ONLY from 6-9 pm. HOW IT WORKS: When you come in to paint, we charge a $6 studio fee for kids and $8 for adults. On top of that is the cost of your piece. Most pieces range from $12-18. Additional pottery includes a glaze fee which is anywhere from $1-7, depending on the price of the piece. After you've finished creating your work of art, we put a clear glaze on it to make it beautiful and shiny, and then put it in the kiln to cook. In 7 days your work will be ready! Everything is food-safe so feel free to enjoy your plate, bowl, mug, etc. PARTIES We host both child and adult parties, so please call us to book your creative adventure. Otherwise we always accept walk-ins as long as we have the space. We recommend calling ahead if you have 3 or more. CUSTOM WORK / AUCTION PROJECTS We have a staff of talented artists willing to do custom work for you, including our popular school auction projects. Here's how an auction project works: You pick out the pottery you want and receive 25% or 50% off. If we do custom addition to it, you will get 50% off. If we only glaze and fire the pottery, you receive 25% off. We charge $8 for paints that you take to the school to let kids do finger prints, free painting, or whatever you'd like. Schools do not pay taxes on the pottery with a tax exemption code. Then bring back the pottery to the studio and allot us at least two weeks to do our custom work and have it ready for you. All About Dance is a unique dance studio located in the heart of Old Town. Jessica Goldman (it was Swiggum then), its founder, opened All About Dance in 2005 as a "family" studio in Lincoln Park. We hoped that word of mouth would spread our unique, energetic teaching style and build us into a studio to be acknowledged in the city. She not only provided great dance instruction to the community but also brought dance back into people's lives. Adding to the project’s interest is the fact that the client has an exclusive vision of making this home into a one-of-a-kind “Bachelor Pad.” From the placement of a fully functioning fireman’s pole going from floor to floor in the home to an outdoor spa with an infinity edge that run year round, this project is full of interesting elements. The client, who is from Canada, is clearly a hockey fan as part of the overall cabinets and millwork in the home, is a custom piece to showcase all of his NHL hockey sticks. “I am so excited about this rare project,” said Robert Berg, owner of Foster Design Build. “My client’s creative vision along with the great space provide us with a great opportunity to showcase what Foster Design Build is capable of building.” Berg added, “How many times do we get to build a rooftop garden with outdoor fireplace, geothermal heating and solar hot water system. This project is just amazing.” “One of the unique services that we provide to our customers is that all projects of this type will have multiple live streaming web cameras at the exterior and interior of the home. Other distinctive attributes of this project include 10” white oak plank flooring and a massive, modern fireplace in the master bathroom.
