The Lake Arlington Student Ministry exists to serve students. We seek to accomplish this by providing opportunities for students to experience community with other students, provide them with things to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and then take the things they have learned and use those to impact the world around them.

Our Outreach Division recently re-branded itself as inspirED. Guided by our mission, we plan to continue serving a larger and more diverse population of students and parents each year in the greater Arlington community. Below are brief descriptions of some of our current college access and success programs. Presentations and Workshops: We currently offer two main presentations. Our inspirED College Prep presentation is designed to encourage students and families to be college ready and to provide detailed guidance on such things as admissions, testing, scholarships and the intricacies of applying for financial aid. Our inspirED FAFSA Prep presentation and workshop were created to assist students and parents with filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). GO Centers: Our GO Centers are college and career centers located within high schools and public libraries which focus on creating a college-going culture and promote college awareness and accessibility. The GO Centers are supported by inspirED college mentors who provide postsecondary planning and process assistance to students and their families. We currently support eight (8) GO Centers in Southeast Tarrant County including seven (7) in Arlington and Mansfield high schools and one (1) in an Arlington public library. Destination Success: Each February, inspirED, in partnership with Arlington Independent School District (AISD) and other sponsors, hosts a free, half-day event for high school students and their families at Sam Houston High School that provides sessions in English and Spanish on preparing for college, understanding college costs and financial aid, college and financial aid application completion assistance, tax preparation assistance, financial literacy presentations, SAT/ACT prep courses, a college fair and much more.
Leadership Arlington is a program that offers encouragement to discover your own leadership capabilities and to learn from others. Leadership Arlington helps to identify, train, empower and connect people with other people who want to make a difference in our community. Does Leadership Arlington work? Our alumni are the proof. Police and Fire chiefs, elected officials including Arlington City Council, executives, business and civic leaders all have graduated from our program.
We serve children ages 0 to 12 years old with social and communication challenges.
