Sixth Course is a San Francisco confection company that makes all things sweet. We specialize in small-batch, handmade truffles, mousse cakes, tarts, and gelato. Sixth Course is committed to supporting sustainability, local economies, and community. Fresh organic dairy, hand selected produce, and the finest ingredients are sourced locally whenever possible. We use only quality, sustainable couverture from the top local and international producers. Our producers are dedicated to the long term success of the farmers and co-ops where the beans are purchased, assisting with improvements in the environment, farming techniques, and community education. The cacao beans are Rainforest Alliance and Fair Trade certified. We are proud to use Clover Stornetta organic dairy sourced from family farms along the north coast of California. The cows are not treated with antibiotics or the growth hormone rBST and the farms are American Humane Certified. Our butter comes from Sierra Navada Cheese Company. Down Home Sweets is baking and desserts inspired by my Southern Upbringing. My childhood was filled with delicious mouth-watering baked goods straight from my family's ovens and hearts and now I'm sharing my spin on them with the West Coast. I'm a home baker and starting Down Home Sweets has always been a dream of mine. In my home, a good dessert could help quell any argument, show unbelievable love and welcome new friends. I’m happy to be able to provide those desserts to others now. I believe in using only the freshest ingredients from local producers and most of my products are all-organic. I specialize in Southern desserts (pies, cakes and cookies) but with a twist as well as specialty Southern items and specialty cakes. I’m always experimenting with new flavors and ideas so if there is a flavor or dessert you would like and it’s not listed below send me your request and information. I can also provide gluten free and vegan options, please contact me for more information.
