Fair Saint Louis 2016 – America’s Biggest Birthday Party in Forest Park! Join us this July in St. Louis’ iconic Forest Park, which was recently named “Best City Park” in the nation by USA Today, as we celebrate our nation’s independence. Saturday, July 2, through Monday, July 4, the grounds that once hosted the 1904 World’s Fair will welcome back fairgoers to experience three days of memorable fun and entertainment. Keeping with Fair tradition, this year’s event will feature a variety of free family entertainment, live music from nationally-recognized recording artists, and much more. And as always, an unforgettable, world class fireworks show will close out each night of the Fair. Programming takes place year-round at our new location at 5959 Delmar Blvd. in the Loop East. The largest portion of the 200+ youth we serve each year are apprentices in ArtWorks’ Summer Program. Since 1995, youth apprentices in the Summer Program have been hired through a competitive application process in which artistic talent and personal motivation are employment criteria. Past apprentices who successfully finish the summer program by showing leadership, talent, and interest are invited to continue working in the fall and spring programs.

Founded in 2014, Link Auction Galleries is located in the former St. John's Episcopal Methodist Church in Saint Louis' Central West End neighborhood. Constructed in 1902, St. John's was the first church constructed on what is known as "Holy Corners", at the corner of Washington Place and Kingshighway Boulevard in the City of Saint Louis. Designed by renowned architect Theodore Link (designer of St. Louis Union Station), the church is a Greek Revival design and includes a number of historic stained glass windows and other historical elements. The corner stone was laid in 1901 and the church building use started in 1903. The building is listed on the National and State Registry of Historic Buildings. Theodore Link (1850-1923) Theodore Link was born on March 17, 1850 in Germany. He studied engineering prior to coming to the United States. In 1873, Link came to St. Louis, Missouri to work for the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad Company. In 1875, he became the superintendent of St. Louis public parks. Theodore Link was an esteemed architect. His most well-known design was St. Louis Union Station, which he co-created with Edward Cameron in 1894. Some of Theodore Link’s other notable buildings include Monticello Seminary/Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey, IL, the Mississippi State Capitol in Jackson, MS, and nine Renaissance-inspired buildings on the campus of Louisiana State University
