The Marketing degree offered at Utah Valley University’s Woodbury School of Business provides students with a wide variety of critical skills required to successfully compete in business. From large corporations to small companies, almost a third of all Americans are employed in marketing-related positions. Professional preparation in Marketing can provide exciting and fulfilling career opportunities in advertising, product development, retailing, e-commerce, market research and sales. These are careers that require individuals with creative problem-solving skills, business acumen and the ability to find opportunities. To help you prepare, our Marketing faculty have the highest academic qualifications and have extensive professional and industrial experience. This provides students with real world examples, problem cases and field studies which enhance a traditional learning environment. Courses are market-driven and include Advertising and Promotion, Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior, International Marketing, Internet Marketing, Personal Selling, Sales Management, Retailing, Services Marketing, Competitive Intelligence and Marketing Strategy. Upper division classes work on projects for companies which build resumes creating stronger potential employment opportunity for students. Students graduating with a UVU Marketing degree are well prepared to work in multiple aspects of business or to go on to graduate school for additional education.
The Utah Valley University Spirit Squad is under the Direction of Ashley Hardison and Coached by Katie Morris. The Cheer Squad serve as UVU Ambassadors through competitions, performances, appearances, and volunteer activities. You will see the UVU Spirit Squad performing at different Athletic events throughout the year as well as promoting school spirit at various school and community events. The UVU Spirit Squad is well recognized on a National level they attend a collegiate camp and compete each year in the NCA Collegiate National Champions.The UVU Cheer Team was USA National Champions in 2009, 4th place at NCA College Nationals in 2016
UVU Tennis Club provides students and none students the opportunity to play at a competitive or recreational level.
UVU Auto programs offers degrees in Automotive Technology, Collision Repair Technology with Street Rod emphasis available, and Diesel Mechanics Technology. You can earn a 1-year Certificate, 2-year Diploma, and an A.A.S degree. The primary goals of Multicultural Student Services are to recruit, retain, support, and graduate ethnic and all other underrepresented student minority populations. Through active partnerships and programs with the university, Utah, western states, the nation and other countries, we also strive to include and enrich all UVU students, faculty, staff, and the community.
The Department of Physics at UVU offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics that can prepare students for a number of career and graduate education options in physics and related fields. Also, we offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Physics Education (in conjunction with the Departments of Chemistry and Secondary Education) and a Minor in Physics.
At Utah Valley University UV Mentors assist students in discovering the personal attributes necessary for a successful education. They encourage students to develop study habits that will allow them to take responsibility for their education and prepare them for life. They help students connect to the campus community and find resources that will best meet their needs.
Operation Graduation supports the UVU Student Veterans of America (SVA) chapter. UVU SVA recently secured procedure changes to help veterans with priority registration, standardized veteran information on syllabi, veteran preferred Math, English, Pre-core Math, and Pre-core English, veteran specific tours, and graduation cords to identify veterans upon graduation. The Operation Graduation initiative is designed to help student vets and their families learn about SVA and its programs and to engender support to get student veterans all the way through to graduation. Motivate higher education institution faculty, student veterans, and their families to utilize the resources, support, and advocacy offered by SVA to help students succeed in postsecondary education and professional life following graduation.
