Fight For Air Climb Atlanta It's more than a walk. It's more than a run. It's a unique challenge, an adventure...an accomplishment! It's a chance to go vertical with hundreds of participants in the American Lung Association's 2016 Fight For Air Climb Atlanta. Tackle 51 floors on April 16th in Atlanta's largest vertical competition. Push your legs and lungs to their fullest potential and walk away with a newfound respect for your lungs. Go by yourself, with a friend, or form a team for the challenge! You can sprint, jog, walk or crawl...any way you can get up the stairs, (and you get to take the elevator down)! Families, individuals, firefighters and teams join together in a climb to the top of One Ninety One Peachtree Tower in downtown Atlanta to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from asthma. Participants work together to fundraise. All funds raised at this event stay in Georgia and goes to benefit research, education and advocacy to clean the air we breathe and help fight lung disease!

-- Haiti Mission Initiative -- January 12, 2013 marks three-year anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti that killed 250,000 people and left more than a million homeless. Hundreds of thousands of people still live in camps, where a cholera outbreak has killed more than 7,000 since October. As Haitians mark the anniversary of the earthquake that flattened much of Port-au-Prince, hopes have given way to a crushing sense of bitterness and despair. Our efforts in Haiti thus-far have brought in 15 volunteer medical groups who have provided medical assistance for over 1,500 people and 20 teachers, counselors and psychologists. We have also paid school costs for 25 children in need and offered sustainable business opportunities to their parents. -- South Africa Mission -- More than half of South Africa's children currently live in poverty. Hope for a New Generation is aiming to help that and has already provided medical aid for over 1,500 people. We are currently in the process of creating a literary school. -- After School Program -- Hope for a New Generation has a vision to improve the standards of underprivileged children in pursuit of their education and also enhance their self-esteem and etiquette. Music has a positive influence in developing young children’s skills such as in memory and reasoning. Providing children with such an environment supports the children’s development and healthy growth. Due to family issues, low-budget schools, lack of supplies and teacher lay-offs, many of those kids are struggling to compete educationally with their peers locally, nationally and globally. This Hope for a New Generation after school program will try to improve the performance of the children and nurture them as they grow up. During selected times in the course of the program, the participants shall be introduced to both outdoor and indoor games. Word games enhance creativity by allowing children to make connections and establish relationships between different words. Also games of visual thinking encourage the use of imagination. -- Music Scholarship -- We strongly believe that music and arts scholarships will definitely help the under-privileged youths socially, culturally and educationally. Young people should be rewarded for exceeding academically and showing that they have the perseverance to make it through higher education and the yearning to do more with their lives. By giving student interested in music or art a scholarship, it will show them that whoever is providing the scholarship or nominated them has as much confidence in them as they have in themselves; boosting their confidence and affirming their purpose to dedicate their lives to music or the arts. Hope for a New Generation provides three scholarships per year to students majoring in each of the three applied areas of the performing arts: Music, Art and Theatre. Scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors or first year college students who intend to make music or other fine arts a central part of their future life. Recipients must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and must retain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA for renewal. Renewal also is contingent upon the continued availability of funds.

Coca-Cola Enterprises

Atlanta, GA 30313

Coca-Cola Enterprises was a marketer, producer, and distributor of Coca-Cola products. It was the anchor bottler for Western Europe, and was formerly the anchor bottler for most of North America.Coca-Cola Enterprises' products include Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Fanta, Capri-Sun, Dr Pepper, Chaudfontaine, Schweppes, Monster and Relentless.HistoryIn 1980, Coca-Cola acquired the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of New York for $215 million. In 1982, Coca-Cola acquired the Associated Coca-Cola Bottling Company for $417.5 million. In 1986, Coca-Cola acquired the bottling operations of Beatrice Foods and the bottling operations of the Lupton family. Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. was spun off from The Coca-Cola Company in 1986. The purpose was consolidating the many independent bottling groups in the Coca-Cola System. Previously, independent businesses in small geographic areas, generally a central city or town and its hinterland, bottled Coca-Cola products and distributed these to stores. Coca-Cola headquarters began to buy up these bottlers in 1980 and then spun this function off to anchor bottlers in various parts of the world. Coca-Cola Enterprises continued to acquire regional bottlers throughout the 1990s.
