The New York University College of Dentistry offers graduate programs and clinical training in dentistry.HistoryThe College of Dentistry was founded in 1865 as the "New York College of Dentistry." It merged with NYU in 1925. NYUCD is the third oldest and the largest dental school in the United States. In 1957 the College moved into its present home on First Avenue, which in 1965 was named the K. B. Weissman Clinical Science Building. In 1978 the Arnold and Marie Schwartz Hall of Dental Sciences was completed. In 1987 New York University dedicated the David B. Kriser Dental Center. In 2001 two preclinical simulation labs opened. The two 13000sqft laboratories provide cutting-edge technology to teach preclinical sciences. In 2002, the Leonard I. Bluestone Center for Clinical Research opened - the only dental school-based research center that provides beds for 24-hour patient monitoring. In fall of 2005, NYU's Division of Nursing moved from the Steinhardt School of Education to form the College of Nursing within the College of Dentistry. In 2015 a new joint 170,000 square foot building for Dentistry, Nursing, and the Bioengineering Institute was opened. The same fall, the College of Dentistry, the College of Nursing and the newly created College of Global Public Health became part of a collaborative entity known as the Faculty of Health, though with each of the schools maintaining their separate identities and independence. In aggregate, the College of Dentistry occupies 27 floors distributed among five buildings.FacilitiesThe College of Dentistry is located on First Avenue between East 24th and 26th Streets, about 6 blocks south of the NYU School of Medicine. The College's facilities include the Schwartz Hall of Dental Sciences, the K. B. Weissman Clinical Science Building, the new 13 floor interdisciplinary building at 433 First Avenue, four newly renovated floors at 137 25th Street, and one floor at 380 First Avenue. These house classrooms, patient clinics, research and teaching facilities, and administrative offices, as well as a state-of-the-art Learning Commons for dentistry, dental hygiene, nursing, and engineering students and an Executive Conference Suite. Clinical facilities include 506 dental operatories. The operatories are designed in modules, each containing a waiting room, offices, X-ray facilities, and a seminar room for instruction and consultation. These facilities enable the College to provide oral health care for thousands of New Yorkers.

The Zicklin School of Business is the largest collegiate school of business in the nation and the only school in the City University of New York system that offers business programs accredited by the AACSB - Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The School houses the Wasserman Trading Floor, the only full-featured simulated trading environment of its kind in New York City and one of only a few in the nation. The American Academy of Dramatic Arts is a two-year performing arts conservatory with bi-coastal facilities at 120 Madison Avenue, Manhattan, and at 1336 North La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles.HistoryThe oldest acting school in the English speaking world, the Academy in New York City was founded in 1884 to train actors for the stage. Its first home was the original Lyceum Theatre on what is now Park Avenue South. In 1963, the school moved to its current home, a landmark building designed by noted architect Stanford White as the original Colony Club.In 1974, the Academy opened another campus in Pasadena, California, which made it the only professional actor training school in both major centers of American theatrical activity. The Los Angeles campus moved from Pasadena to Hollywood in 2001 in a new building next to the site of the former studios of Charlie Chaplin.ProgramThe Academy remains dedicated to training professional actors. It offers a two-year program in which students have to be invited back for the second year. Auditions are held at the end of the second year for the third year company. As well as training for the theatre, it now offers courses in film and television, providing a structured, professionally oriented program that stresses self-discovery, self-discipline and individuality. Students who graduate in New York receive an Associate of Occupational Studies degree; students who graduate in Hollywood receive a Certificate of Completion or an Associate of Arts degree in Acting. Students from New York and Los Angeles can get a Bachelor of Arts degree from selected universities.

The 69th Regiment Armory is located at 68 Lexington Avenue between East 25th and 26th Streets in the Rose Hill section of Manhattan, New York City. The historic building began construction in 1904 and was completed in 1906. The building is still used to house the headquarters of the New York Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment, as well as for the presentation of special events. The armory was designed by the firm of Hunt & Hunt, and was the first armory built in New York City to not be modeled on a medieval fortress; instead, it was designed in the Beaux-Arts style. The building was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1965, and a New York City landmark in 1983.The Armory was the site of the controversial 1913 Armory Show, in which modern art was first publicly presented in the United States. It has a 5,000 seat arena that is used for sporting and entertainment events such as the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
