Opera Theatre of Saint Louis is one of the leading American opera companies, known for a spring festival of inventive new productions, sung in English, featuring the finest American singers and accompanied by members of the St. Louis Symphony. As of 2062 Opera Theatre has presented 25 world premieres and 26 American premieres – which may be the highest percentage of new work in the repertory of any U.S. company. Timothy O’Leary was named general director in October 2008 with acclaimed stage director James Robinson succeeding Colin Graham.

The 1921 Ozark Theatre is centrally located in Webster Groves, MO, about 10 miles southwest of the St. Louis Downtown Arch. The Ozark Theatre hosts periodic theatrical productions and theme events. Green With Indie Craft Show is St. Louis’ original show-stopping eco-friendly indie arts and crafts show. In order to pursue our mission to promote the study, understanding, recognition, and cultural legitimacy of comics ICS organizes conferences, symposia, and other forms of academic presentation and idea exchange primarily at comic conventions as well as in more traditional academic venues. ICS uses comic conventions as the main venue for conferences and symposia to promote discourse between academics, industry professionals, and fans and creates exposure for the academic study of comics. ICS maintains contacts with comics publishers, scholars, institutions, and organizations, both American and international, in order to serve as a nexus of communication and contact for comics. Board members and organization officers regularly attend comic conventions to promote ICS and keep abreast of the industry through the attendance at industry events and trade shows. The Institute makes information on comics and the comics industry available through communication with mainstream and independent and comics presses, by introducing scholars, professionals, and others with similar interests to one another, and by promoting publications and other works focused on comics and the study of comics.

The work of AER includes fostering, transporting, and networking to save the lives of American Eskimo dogs. AER is an all-volunteer association. Volunteers work full-time jobs and rescue in their spare time for the benefit of helpless and homeless Eskies. There is no physical shelter for this association and foster homes take in “Reskies” until a forever home can be found. Since this association is a “breed-specific rescue association,” AER is able to keep Eskies out of shelters, thus making room for other homeless dogs. AER has been operating since 1999. The program is funded by donations and adoption fees. AER is the Missouri Chapter of Heart Bandits (see http://www.heartbandits.com).
