Hancock Place Early Childhood Center offers its students a comprehensive curriculum centered on evidence based, best practices for early learners. Our curriculum is aligned fully to the Missouri Early Learning Standards and framed within current research and recommendations from other state and national initiatives. Our ultimate goal is to provide each student with the appropriate social, emotional, and developmental learning experiences in preparation for early success and kindergarten readiness. The classroom teacher plays a critical role in your child’s success. Therefore, Hancock Place Early Childhood Center staffs each classroom with a fully and appropriately certified Early Childhood teacher. In addition, each classroom teacher has a full-time teacher assistant with a minimum of sixty hours of college credit training. These highly qualified, engaging, and most importantly, caring individuals are the foundation for student success. Recognizing that all students learn differently, the Hancock Place Early Childhood Center in partnership with the Special School District of St. Louis County offers a comprehensive Early Childhood Special Education program of delivery for qualifying students. In addition to the full-time certified early childhood special education teachers, classroom teacher assistants as well as ancillary service providers (i.e. speech, physical therapy, occupational therapy) work collaboratively to serve fully the early childhood special education needs of our students.
