Several of his students have made leading role debuts at the Metropolitan Opera, and have sung in all of the major opera houses of the world including Covent Garden, La Scala, San Francisco and Bayreuth, appearing with such renowned artists as Luciano Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo and Mirella Freni. They have also performed leading roles on Broadway and in major jazz venues around the world. Several of his students have also established significant careers as voice teachers.
