The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis was established in 1914, after the creation of the Federal Reserve System in 1913. The Eighth Federal Reserve District is headquartered in St. Louis and has branches in Little Rock, Ark., Louisville, Ky., and Memphis, Tenn. The District includes all of Arkansas and portions of six other states: Missouri, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois. The St. Louis Bank serves most of eastern Missouri and southern Illinois. As one of the 12 regional Reserve banks in the Fed System, the St. Louis Fed is central to America's economy. All of the Reserve banks share some degree of similar duties. But because the banks are independent of one another, each has some specialized assignments and tasks that distinguish it.

The Mission Continues is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization empowers veterans who are adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact. We deploy veterans on new missions in their communities, so that their actions will inspire future generations to serve. Our operations in cities across the country deploy veteran volunteers alongside non-profit partners and community leaders to solve some of the most challenging issues facing our communities: improving community education resources, eliminating food deserts, mentoring at-risk youth and more. IATSE Local 6 has been serving the St. Louis region since 1890 and though some of the skills required of our technicians have changed since then, we take pride in, and a pro-active approach to, serving our clients by providing well-trained professionals with a positive work ethic. We are a full-service referral hall catering to the areas of entertainment lighting, audio, video, scenic, rigging, and personnel management. Many of our technicians hold certifications in these disciplines that are recognized as the industry standard for safe and ethical practices in the workplace. Local 6 considers safety to be paramount to our work and requires all members to maintain OSHA 10 safety knowledge at a minimum. Carpentry Scenic construction, assembly, automation, along with props construction makes up the bulk of the work our carpentry professionals perform. Our carpenters are well versed in many construction techniques from traditional carpentry to metalworking in steel, aluminum and composite materials. Having constructed award-winning sets and iconic scenic elements, we take pride in precision and attention to detail. Rigging Rigging construction, assembly, calculations, operation, arena systems, theatrical systems including fly systems (St. Louis is home to several working single purchase systems and one long standing “hemp house”). Currently, twenty percent (20%) of our rigging professionals hold their ETCP Certification in arena and/or theatrical rigging and our emphasis on training and education improves on that number annually. Audio Audio systems assembly, operation, and maintenance keep our audio technicians busy but this does not represent the limit of the scope of work that they do. Our technicians provide mixing services, both front-of-house and monitors along with console (control desk) knowledge across multiple manufacturer platforms. Audio-visual recording and broadcasting and associated peripheral equipment expertise comes standard. Whether your system is state-of-the-art or a microphone and powered speakers, our technicians will work with you to provide the best possible audio experience for your guests. Lighting & Power When it comes to lighting and power systems; assembly, operation, and maintenance are just the tip of the iceberg. Our technicians have the skills and expertise to get entire concert rigs for major events or “two lights on booms” up and running. Followspot operation, console (control desk) programming knowledge across multiple manufacturer platforms, dimming, intelligent lighting and accessory expertise, along with safe, practical power distribution knowledge round out the extensive capabilities of our technicians. Video Video work from camera operation to switching and from “confidence” monitors to full video walls, our technical skills go well beyond standard screens and projectors. Teleprompting falls under the video aspect of our work and we have technicians who are well versed in the setup and operation of nearly every professional-grade teleprompting software/system available. Administration Our offices have undergone significant upgrades in technology (and still are). From streamlined referral processing and pay rolling to state-of-the-art software developments that integrate the entire process from the point a labor request is made through the final pay roll invoice, Local 6 prides itself on providing a user-friendly approach to labor needs. The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament were given by inspiration of God, and are the only sufficient, certain and authoritative rule of all saving knowledge, faith and obedience. II. God. There is but one God, the Maker, Preserver and Ruler of all things, having in and of himself, all perfections, and being infinite in them all; and to Him all creatures owe the highest love, reverence and obedience. III. The Trinity. God is revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being. IV. Providence. God from eternity, decrees or permits all things that come to pass, and perpetually upholds, directs and governs all creatures and all events; yet so as not to destroy the free will and responsibility of intelligent creatures. V. Election. Election is God's eternal choice of some persons unto everlasting life -- not because of foreseen merit in them, but of his mere mercy in Christ -- in consequence of which choice they are called, justified and glorified. VI. The Fall of Man. God originally created man in His own image, and free from sin; but, through the temptation of Satan, he transgressed the command of God, and fell from his original holiness and righteousness; whereby his posterity inherit a nature corrupt and wholly opposed to God and His law, are under condemnation, and as soon as they are capable of moral action, become actual transgressors. VII. The Mediator. Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is the divinely appointed mediator between God and man. Having taken upon Himself human nature, yet without sin, He perfectly fulfilled the Law, suffered and died upon the cross for the salvation of sinners. He was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended to His Father, at whose hand He ever liveth to make intercession for His people. He is the only Mediator, the Prophet, Priest and King of the Church, and Sovereign of the Universe. VIII. Regeneration. Regeneration is a change of heart, wrought by the Holy Spirit, who quickeneth the dead in trespasses and sins enlightening their minds spiritually and savingly to understand the Word of God, and renewing their whole nature, so that they love and practice holiness. It is a work of God's free and special grace alone. IX. Repentance. Repentance is an evangelical grace, wherein a person being, by the Holy Spirit, made sensible of the manifold evil of his sin, humbleth himself for it, with godly sorrow, detestation of it, and self-abhorrence, with a purpose and endeavor to walk before God so as to please Him in all things. X. Faith. Saving faith is the belief, on God's authority, of whatsoever is revealed in His Word concerning Christ; accepting and resting upon Him alone for justification and eternal life. It is wrought in the heart by the Holy Spirit, and is accompanied by all other saving graces, and leads to a life of holiness. XI. Justification. Justification is God's gracious and full acquittal of sinners, who believe in Christ, from all sin, through the satisfaction that Christ has made; not for anything wrought in them or done by them; but on account of the obedience and satisfaction of Christ, they receiving and resting on Him and His righteousness by faith. XII. Sanctification. Those who have been regenerated are also sanctified, by God's word and Spirit dwelling in them. This sanctification is progressive through the supply of Divine strength, which all saints seek to obtain, pressing after a heavenly life in cordial obedience to all Christ's commands. XIII. Perseverance of the Saints. Those whom God hath accepted in the Beloved, and sanctified by His Spirit, will never totally nor finally fall away from the state of grace, but shall certainly persevere to the end; and though they may fall, through neglect and temptation, into sin, whereby they grieve the Spirit, impair their graces and comforts, bring reproach on the Church, and temporal judgments on themselves, yet they shall be renewed again unto repentance, and be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation. XIV. The Church. The Lord Jesus is the Head of the Church, which is composed of all his true disciples, and in Him is invested supremely all power for its government. According to his commandment, Christians are to associate themselves into particular societies or churches; and to each of these churches he hath given needful authority for administering that order, discipline and worship which he hath appointed. The regular officers of a Church are Bishops, or Elders, and Deacons. XV. Baptism. Baptism is an ordinance of the Lord Jesus, obligatory upon every believer, wherein he is immersed in water in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, as a sign of his fellowship with the death and resurrection of Christ, of remission of sins, and of his giving himself up to God, to live and walk in newness of life. It is prerequisite to church fellowship, and to participation in the Lord's Supper. XVI. The Lord's Supper. The Lord's Supper is an ordinance of Jesus Christ, to be administered with the elements of bread and wine, and to be observed by his churches till the end of the world. It is in no sense a sacrifice, but is designed to commemorate his death, to confirm the faith and other graces of Christians, and to be a bond, pledge and renewal of their communion with him, and of their church fellowship. XVII. The Lord's Day. The Lord's Day is a Christian institution for regular observance, and should be employed in exercises of worship and spiritual devotion, both public and private, resting from worldly employments and amusements, works of necessity and mercy only excepted. XVIII. Liberty of Conscience. God alone is Lord of the conscience; and He hath left it free from the doctrines and commandments of men, which are in anything contrary to His word, or not contained in it. Civil magistrates being ordained of God, subjection in all lawful thing commanded by them ought to be yielded by us in the Lord, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. XIX. The Resurrection. The bodies of men after death return to dust, but their spirits return immediately to God -- the righteous to rest with Him; the wicked to be reserved under darkness to the judgment. At the last day, the bodies of all the dead, both just and unjust, will be raised. XX. The Judgment. God hath appointed a day, wherein he will judge the world by Jesus Christ, when every one shall receive according to his deeds; the wicked shall go into everlasting punishment; the righteous, into everlasting life.
The description of MY WORDS Organization is basically a place where your heard. A place where God welcomes you into the truth of living a long healthy life... the path on which your individuality is discovered so that you can save yourself and others from the evil or wrong doings that the world has to offer.
Looking at the electronic music scene in St. Louis, there seems to be a major division of fans. Some are more focused on more classic sub-genres; like house, breaks, jungle and trance. Others prefer the more modern, bass-heavy styles, such as dub and trap. Diversity is always a good thing, but it seems like some people have become so polarized in their musical preferences that it seems like they have become close-minded to the opposite faction We all became involved in this scene because we were looking for a change from the norm. We broke out of our comfort zone, tried out something new, and found a place in our hearts and our very souls sated by the beats. That feeling is what we are striving to bring back to the scene. By reaching out to new people and exposing them to the different variations of the scene, by focusing on events in both genres, by throwing events featuring a variety of different styles of music we are hoping to build a bridge over this musical gap that we seem to have created. The bottom line is, St. Louis is to small of a city to have this much division and polarization. By focusing on all the genres that the electronic music scene has to offer, we're hoping to show that their is beauty in diversity, and that we are all Bound By Beats!

At the core of the TEDx program are its fearless volunteer organizers in almost every corner of the world—Germany, Sudan, Qatar, China, India, Brazil, the United States and more—devoted to changing the world through events centered on ideas important to their community, and the world at large. Over 4500 events have happened all over the world since the launch of the program in March 2009. This year’s theme, MOMENTUM, provides the opportunity for groundbreaking TEDx talks that we can share with St. Louis and with the world. Looking at the electronic music scene in St. Louis, there seems to be a major division of fans. Some are more focused on more classic sub-genres; like house, breaks, jungle and trance. Others prefer the more modern, bass-heavy styles, such as dub and trap. Diversity is always a good thing, but it seems like some people have become so polarized in their musical preferences that it seems like they have become close-minded to the opposite faction We all became involved in this scene because we were looking for a change from the norm. We broke out of our comfort zone, tried out something new, and found a place in our hearts and our very souls sated by the beats. That feeling is what we are striving to bring back to the scene. By reaching out to new people and exposing them to the different variations of the scene, by focusing on events in both genres, by throwing events featuring a variety of different styles of music we are hoping to build a bridge over this musical gap that we seem to have created. The bottom line is, St. Louis is to small of a city to have this much division and polarization. By focusing on all the genres that the electronic music scene has to offer, we're hoping to show that their is beauty in diversity, and that we are all Bound By Beats!
The volunteer firefighters proposed and organized a fire district in 1953, thereby having the power to collect taxes to support department operations. District boundaries were laid out to cover 47 square miles in South St. Louis County. By the end of 1953, the voters of the area approved the incorporation of the Mehlville Fire Protection District (MFPD) and elected three directors. In 1969, forty-one firefighters joined together and petitioned the International Association of Fire Firefighters for membership, becoming IAFF Local 1889. In 2012, Mehlville Firefighters joined Professional Fire Fighters of Eastern Missouri IAFF Local 2665 and continue their pride and dedication of serving the citizens of the Mehlville Fire District. Currently, the Mehlville Fire Protection District provides fire protection and emergency medical services to a population of 110,000 residents in fifty-two square miles of South St. Louis County. The District consists of seven stations with seven engine companies (including two seventy-five foot quints), an all-terrain pumper, a heavy rescue squad, a one-hundred foot aerial platform and six ALS ambulances. Personnel consist of firefighters, paramedics and administrative staff. It is anticipated that the District will respond to nearly 13000 calls during 2014. The District currently holds an Insurance Services Organization (ISO) rating of Protection Class Three. The assessed valuation of the District’s currently stands at $2,227,618,170.
Hi, my name is Melinda...some people also know me as my alter ego Melanympha, which I still use as an endearing nickname even though we have since merged. My inner Self/Source has led me to make a great number of changes and transformations in my lifestyle, perspectives and daily practice within the past 9 months. It helped me to recognize that many people are interested in the things that could benefit their spiritual journeys, but they feel lost and beaten down and powerless as to how to carve time and sacred space out of their busy and stressful schedules. That is why I am starting The Chrysalis Studio as a sanctuary and also is why I got rid of my couch and lots of things in order to set up in my living room but will soon be moved to a new home somewhere in the Cherokee neighborhood. Until then we will have morning meditation from 7 am to 10 am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday weekly (7 am is silent meditation, 8 am is guided meditation, followed by 9am for free-moving meditation/yoga/Qigong, etc). We also will host a weekly yoga practice builder every MONDAY, 6:30 to 7:30 pm where I assist you in developing your own daily yoga Hatha/Vinyasa practice. The Beta Sigma chapter of Delta Sigma Pi is composed of a variety of passionate individuals dedicated to the advancement of the John Cook School of Business, the fraternity, and their careers. Each semester, we hold professional, service, and social events to help achieve this goal and to foster a sense of community within the business school. Every semester, members of Beta Sigma travel to regional and national DSP conventions to network and to learn valuable information from the nation's business leaders.
