The Al McGuire Center is a 3,700-seat arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which houses the women's volleyball and basketball teams at Marquette University. It also serves as a practice facility for the men's basketball team. It was opened in 2004, replacing the venerable Marquette Gymnasium. The complex is a $31 million athletic facility named for Al McGuire, the coach who led the men's basketball team to an NCAA championship, an NIT title, and 295 victories in 13 seasons. The McGuire Center offers state-of-the-art practice facilities for men's and women's basketball, including strength and conditioning and sports medicine facilities, an academic center for student athletes, and a Marquette Athletics Hall of Fame.
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church is a church located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a designated State Historic Site. The building was also declared a Milwaukee Landmark in 1967.DescriptionTrinity's congregation was founded by German immigrants of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod in 1847, and is the oldest church associated with that synod in the city.Members of the Trinity Church established St. Stephen Lutheran Church in 1853, in order to serve parishioners south of the Menomonee River. These two churches, along with members of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, helped to seed a number of other Lutheran churches in the area.The congregation's first building was on 4th Street between Wells and Kilbourn from 1847 through 1851. Its second building, from 1851 to 1878, was at 4th and Wells.The current building was designed by architect Frederick Velguth in German Romanesque/Gothic Revival style and built in 1878. It uses Cream City brick, a distinct light colored brick manufactured locally, along with sandstone details on the façade. The cruciform structure is long, wide, and tall. It features three towers, the tallest of which is a landmark 200ft spire. Notable of the church's interior is the historic Schuelke organ in the rear gallery, containing some 1,600 pipes. The total cost was $43,500, of which $3,500 was for the organ.
We were awarded the "Excellence in Diversity" award by the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee in 2012. Barbara Leigh was named one of the "Artists of the Year" in 2014 by the Milwaukee Arts Board.

Milwaukee Area Technical College is a two-year vocational-technical college based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. MATC offers day, evening, and weekend classes at campuses in downtown Milwaukee, Oak Creek, West Allis, and Mequon. Enrollment is about 60,000. MATC offers over a dozen accredited associate degrees, as well as well over a hundred vocational licenses, job training certificates, and adult enrichment courses. MATC also runs GED and HSED classes at local community-based organizations and offers high school diplomas through its Adult High School program.One of MATC's educational outreach programs is the operation of two PBS stations serving southeastern Wisconsin. The stations, WMVS channel 10 and WMVT channel 36, are known collectively as Milwaukee Public Television. In 1992, in partnership with Zenith Corp. and AT&T, Channel 10 produced the nation’s first test broadcast of a digital television signal. In March 2000, the station became the first in Wisconsin to begin regular broadcast of digital, high-definition programs. MATC entered the wireless digital era in 2003, becoming the first college in Wisconsin to provide wireless Internet service throughout all campuses.Milwaukee Area Technical College traces its roots to an innovative Wisconsin law in 1911. The purpose was to encourage young adults who dropped out of high school in order to work full-time to continue their education part-time. Employers were required to allow workers to attend and students could participate in the evenings. This innovative approach to education was a first of its kind in the U.S. and quickly spread to other cities in Wisconsin.

The Marshall Building is located in the Third Ward on the Southeast corner of Water Street and Buffalo Street. HISTORY Since 1906, the Marshall Building has been a catalyst in transforming the Historic Third Ward neighborhood. In the early years, its design by nationally renowned architects and pioneering construction had people buzzing. Decades later, George Bockl put the building on the map as an incubator for passionate, entrepreneurial types. Offering them an affordable place to launch their business, Bockl made a home for Milwaukee’s creative class. Now, over a century later, the Marshall Building continues to be an incubator for innovative ideas.

Located in the Marshall Building in downtown Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. The artists and organizations that comprise Material Studios + Gallery are listed below. Mission Statement: Material Studios + Gallery is a space for artists to create, produce, and develop their entrepreneurial practice. We offer the community an intimate look into the process of creating, the opportunity to develop a relationship with the artists, along with contributing to their success. Material also houses arts organizations that fuel the health and well being of the local economy. Greymatter is a studio and gallery that is operated by artists Rachel Quirk and Zina Mussmann. Greymatter seeks to blur lines between studio and gallery in order to create opportunities not only for ourselves but for other artists as well. We hope to foster a spirit of collaboration and mutual support among artists in our community and beyond.
Alphabang! is specifically dedicated to independent, emerging, and established media artists. We as photographers, videographers, sound and video artists are excited for the chance to provide a space for people who work and experiment in photo and video. Our space is new and our vision is fresh and we look forward to how our mission will grow and change. *personal viewings of current shows are available by appointment.
