The casino is with 830 slot machines, 55 table games, 8 poker tables, and a race and sports book.HistoryFlamingo Capri (1959-1979)The property began as the $2 million, 180-room Flamingo Capri motel, owned by George E. Goldberg and Bill Capri. The motel was built directly north of the Flamingo Hotel and Casino, where Capri was an employee. The motel began construction in May 1959, with a planned completion date of August 15, 1959. Douglas Honnold and John Rex, both of Beverly Hills, California, were the architects. Maurice N. Aroff of Beverly Hills was the general contractor. The Flamingo Capri opened in 1959. The original Flamingo agreed to provide hotel services to guests at the Capri.Ralph Engelstad purchased the motel in 1971, and added a casino in 1972. In 1973, four motel buildings from the Flamingo Capri were relocated and converted to become part of Engelstad's other property, the Kona Kai motel. Engelstad's construction company added a three-story wing at the east end of the motel, as well as a northern addition, both of which were opened by 1974.

The Cromwell Las Vegas is a luxury boutique hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, owned by Caesars Entertainment.HistoryBarbary Coast (1979-2007)The property was the site of Empey's Desert Villa from 1952. In 1979 it became the Barbary Coast casino and hotel. The casino was built by Michael Gaughan and opened on March 2, 1979 at a cost of $11.5 million. Over time, this property, along with others owned by Gaughan would become Coast Casinos Inc. Gaughan shared partnership in the Barbary Coast with Kenny Epstein, Tito Tiberti, Frank Toti and Jerry Herbst.In July 2005, Boyd Gaming purchased the Barbary Coast Hotel.In September 2005, Boyd purchased the 4.3acre of land the hotel occupied for $16 million. The hotel had previously been leasing the land.In 2007, Boyd gave the Barbary Coast to Harrah's Entertainment in exchange for the 24acre site of the demolished Westward Ho, to be used for the Echelon Place project.Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon (2007-2013)The Barbary Coast closed at 2:00 a.m. on February 27 and reopened on March 1 as the newly rebranded Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon, in honor of company founder Bill Harrah.After nearly six years of continuous operations, Bill's closed on February 4, 2013, for complete renovation into a luxury boutique hotel. Plans call for complete renovation of the entire property, the guest rooms and casino floor, a new restaurant, and construction of a 65,000 square foot rooftop pool and dayclub/nightclub.

Bourbon Street Hotel and Casino was a small hotel and casino near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. Opening in 1980 as the Shenandoah Hotel, the property was plagued with licensing and financial difficulties from the start. Ownership changed hands several times, with new proprietors often envisioning major renovations or redevelopment, but none of the plans came to fruition. Finally, in 2005, it was bought by Harrah's Entertainment (now Caesars Entertainment), who closed and demolished it.HistoryShenandoah Hotel (1980-1985)The Shenandoah Hotel began as a $29 million project, named after the Las Vegas estate of minority investor, singer Wayne Newton. The hotel had opened by May 1980, but the casino opening was delayed by a Gaming Commission investigation into hotel president John Harlow Tucker for a 1975 securities fraud conviction. Tucker's license was ultimately denied, and he was ordered to sell his $1.8 million in shares. Newton also pulled out, instead buying The Aladdin. The hotel's landlord, Allarco Holdings of Edmonton, took over, and sought new investors to buy or lease the property, which was losing $500,000 a month.Allarco was acquired in January 1981 by Carma Developers Ltd., a Calgary-based real estate company. Carma spent over two years trying unsuccessfully to sell the Shenandoah, before deciding to seek a gaming license to open the casino itself. Nevada passed a law in June 1985, making it possible for Carma to become the first foreign firm to receive a gaming license in the state. The property was reopened and rebranded as Bourbon Street Hotel and Casino.
