Capella Tower is a skyscraper in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. The building opened in 1992 with the First Bank Place being the headquarters for First Bank System. In 1997, First Bank System acquired US Bancorp and changed the name of the building to US Bancorp Place. The headquarters of US Bancorp moved into the US Bancorp Center in 2000, whereupon the tower changed to 225 South 6th Street. In March 2009, the building took its present name.The ranking of the building as the tallest in Minneapolis is in dispute. The IDS Center is usually said to be taller by one foot, even by the owners of Capella Tower. It was initially said to be built one foot shorter out of respect for the IDS Center; however, in 2005, it was revealed that contractors had surreptitiously added 14in of height to Capella, therefore making it taller than the main roof of IDS Center. In February 2005, the IDS counted a 16ft window washing garage built on its roof in 1979 as part of its actual height, making it 14ft taller than Capella Tower. This ambiguity between official measurements and public relations statements might be due in some part to the "halo" that extends out from the roof, which is apparently included in the building's official height .The IDS is taller on two measures. The IDS's communications spires add a significant amount of height making it 910ft, and it remains the tallest building in Minneapolis if measured by number of stories .

The home depicted in this publication is an exploration of such issues that result in progressive contextualism - a belief in place making that allows the project to express an individual identity while evoking intangible experiential qualities. Each individual location has a sense of place and identity that should be amplified, whether it is a remote lakefront site or many floors above the city. Thoughtful placement and composition of the aspects of the project on the site with the integration of landscape design allows the architecture to be a natural extension of that place, and belonging only to that place. Indoor and outdoor spaces merge, integrating the living experience with the site Equally important to the creation of architecture is the capture and development of natural light. Great residential architecture seeks to celebrate the rituals of the day, and light is the spiritual food that nourishes the soul, transforming these experiences. Understanding the path of the sun, one can compose the spaces within and outside the home with natural light, enriching the experiential qualities of space and creating a sense of place. What is unique in residential design is the exploration of spatial dynamics with a human scale. Creating a sequence of events through a space allows one’s senses to become engaged, creating a visceral experience. We believe in narrow houses that draw in natural light and sculpt spaces inside and out. Developing compressing and releasing spaces creates dynamics of intimacy and openness, nurturing a relationship with the place. The most identifiable aspect of architecture and perceived value of residential design is the quality of materials. Beyond cost, each material we select to build with has intrinsic qualities that evoke characteristics of solidity, plasticity, texture and color, while also absorbing or transmitting light. An exploration of these qualities transforms the experience of each house and conveys a relationship with the craft of building. The understanding of these issues has resulted in the varied expression of our work. The Architects and Engineers Building is an office building in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, designed by locally notable architects Hewitt and Brown and built by builders Pike and Cook. The building was influenced by Hewitt and Brown's relationship with designers who were dedicated to the City Beautiful movement. They intended to save money by grouping their practices in one building, and they also desired "the special advantage of proximity and the facility for making the knowledge and experience of each available to others." The building was designed with private executive offices, as well as common drafting rooms, libraries, meeting rooms, and clerical facilities. The building was also intended for use at night by architectural students who would work in association with practicing professionals.The building is designed with an Italian Renaissance theme, with different window plans on each level. The names of prominent architects such as Leonardo da Vinci, Filippo Brunelleschi, Sir Christopher Wren, Charles Follen McKim, and Henry Hobson Richardson are painted in gold within the arches between each pair of third-floor windows.The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for local significance in architecture and commerce. The building is now occupied by Catholic Charities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

33 South Sixth, formerly known as International Multifoods Tower, is a skyscraper in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and stands 52 stories tall at 668 ft. Its name comes from its address: 33 South Sixth Street, Minneapolis. It was completed in 1983 as headquarters for International Multifoods Corporation which occupied the structure until 1997 when it moved to suburban Wayzata. Although the corporate offices relocated, the name remained until 2003 under the terms of its lease. Adjacent to the tower is Minneapolis City Center Mall which occupies the ground level, sky way, and third levels.
Zumba fitness classes integrate Latin-inspired and other international music with fun and easy-to-follow dance and fitness moves.
