Slab serves Sicilian street food in Portland, Maine. They focus on pizza, a large rotating craft beer selection, wines, and cocktails. They’re located in the old Portland Public Market building on Preble Street and are a convenient location for a quick hand slab and beer before a show at Port City Music Hall. Slab is most known for the “slab.” These thick slices of pizza are offered as a meat wedge, a vegetarian mushroom wedge, or a vegan cauli wedge (which is also a gluten free pizza crust option.) Other than pizza, Slab also offers tasty sandwiches like muffuletta, monstri meatball subs, and sicilian sandwich cones. Tap takeovers, food events, and live music are popular at Slab, especially in the summer on their outside patio. PROMO The club will send out a press release about all shows to all local outlets, so please send us your press releases and we will them and include them in our weekly mailings. We will post about your gig on our Facebook page and promote you online but we need you to do your part as well! Of course its always important to SEND FLYERS or drop them off at the club. Don't be lazy and send them a couple of days before the show. We would like them at least 2 full weeks before your gig. All dates are subject to change! Because there is cost involved in hosting a show, if there are no flyers and no promo by 48 hours before a show date, this may result in a show cancellation. Failure to confirm a final lineup 48 prior to show may also result in cancellation. BE PROACTIVE & COMMUNICATIVE, the contact staff at Geno's are happy to help if you encounter booking hurdles.
