The purpose for SE&T is to distribute ergonomic tools across the Midwest in a variety of work environments including material handling warehouses, office workplaces, and hospitals. Ergonomic tools and programs are aimed at preventing lifting injuries and Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorder (WMSD). The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported in 2011, 387,820 MSD cases, which accounted for 33% of all work related injuries and illnesses.
