The Archdiocese of St. Louis (Archidioecesis Sancti Ludovici) is the Roman Catholic archdiocese that covers the City of St. Louis and the Missouri counties of Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, Perry, Saint Charles, Saint Francois, Ste. Genevieve, St. Louis, Warren, and Washington. It is the metropolitan see to the suffragan sees of the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau, the Diocese of Jefferson City, and the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph. It is currently led by Robert James Carlson, the former Bishop of Saginaw, who was named the Archbishop-elect on April 21, 2009, by Pope Benedict XVI, and was installed on June 10, 2009. Archbishop Carlson is assisted by Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus Robert Joseph Hermann. His predecessor was Archbishop Raymond Burke until Burke's transfer to the position of Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura on June 27, 2008. The archdiocesan cathedral is the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. The original cathedral and mother church is the Basilica of St. Louis, King of France. The Archdiocese is also one of two in the world that has both an Archbishop and a Cardinal, as Raymond Burke's See remains St. Louis, and represents the Archdiocese in the College of Cardinals.
We are the Society of Jesus, a Roman Catholic order of priests and brothers founded half a millennium ago by the courtier-turned-mystic Ignatius Loyola. With close to 18,000 priests and brothers worldwide, we are the largest male religious order in the Catholic Church. We are pastors, teachers, and chaplains. We are also doctors, lawyers, and astronomers, among many other roles in Church and society. We refer to ourselves as the Jesuits of the USA Central and Southern Province, one group within the Society of Jesus in the United States and one part of the worldwide body of Jesuits. Jesuits draw on the rich tradition of Ignatian spirituality and reflection. In our retreat houses, parishes, campus ministries, and other settings, we offer these resources to all who want to discern God’s presence in their lives. At the same time, we also aim to be “contemplatives in action,” people who bring this spirituality into the wide world. That includes our work on behalf of global justice, peace, and dialogue. In our varied ministries, we care for the whole person: body, mind, and soul. And especially in our education ministries, we seek to nurture "men and women for others."
The Daughters of Charity are a worldwide Society of Apostolic Life called to serve Jesus Christ in the person of the poor and the marginalized. Motivated by the love of Christ and strengthened by a deep prayer life, we live and pray in community, supporting each other in our common mission of service. Like women in other communities, we make vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. What distinguishes us, however, is a fourth vow of service of the poor. Another distinction is that Daughters of Charity do not make perpetual vows, but renew them every year on the Feast of the Annunciation, which permits us to choose again our commitment to our God and to the poor.
This is The United Holy Church of America! The Central Western District was organized in 1930. The organizers were Bishop J.W. Houston, Elder Otis E. Evans, Mother Addie Houston, and Mother Susie Evans. We love the Lord and want to serve Him. Join us in lifting up JESUS!

Shiloh Temple Church of God in Christ was founded in 1969 by the late Honorable Bishop W. Wesley Sanders. Shiloh began at 25th and Salisbury Street in St. Louis, MO. Many souls were saved under the anointed preaching of the gospel by Bishop Sanders. As a servant leader he was greatly used by God. Many pastors, evangelists and saints were birthed at Shiloh Temple, and are now serving throughout Christendom. Bishop Sanders served the pastorate of Shiloh Temple for 31 years. Bishop Sanders was born in Lexington, Mississippi to Deacon Richard, Jr. & Mrs. Inez Miller Sanders. Bishop Sanders was married to the late Mother Ida Maxine Sanders for 34 years. Bishop and Mother Sanders are survived by three sons; one son preceded them in death. In 1999, Bishop Sanders took the position as Senior Pastor in order to better serve the Eastern Missouri-Western Illinois Jurisdiction, thereby appointing Elder Marvin Sanders as Pastor to serve the local work. Bishop Sanders departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2000. Shiloh is presently located at the southwest corner of Sarah Avenue and Washington Boulevard, in the near Central West End area of St. Louis. This historical stone structure formerly was First Presbyterian Church from 1888 to 1928. After the westward move in 1928, the church became the home of the Giddings Presbyterian Church named after the founder of Presbyterianism in Missouri. Thereafter, other congregations worshipped in this beautiful edifice, until Shiloh occupied it in 1979. Auxiliary Bishop Marvin Sanders, our Shepherd today, has proven faithful and loyal in service and leadership throughout all his years at Shiloh. He is a highly respected and committed man of God, who humbly serves God and the community through the diverse ministries at Shiloh, resulting in a fast growing congregation. His wife, Evangelist Angela Sanders is an inspiration to him, the church and the community. Shiloh’s mission is to reach the lost at any cost as a unified army of soldiers on a spiritual altitude with an effective soul-winning attitude!
