The Schindler House, also known as the Schindler Chace House, or Kings Road House is a house in West Hollywood, California, designed by architect Rudolf M. Schindler.The Schindler House was such a departure from existing residential architecture because of what it did not have; there is no conventional living room, dining room or bedrooms in the house. The residence was meant to be a cooperative live/work space for two young families. The concrete walls and sliding glass panels made novel use of industrial materials, while the open floor plan integrated the external environment into the residence, setting a precedent for California architecture in particular.SiteAfter completing the Hollyhock House, Schindler and his wife Pauline vacationed in Yosemite in October 1921. Inspired by the trip, Schindler returned to create a design for multiple families to share a modern living area, much like Curry Village, Yosemite National Park.ArchitectureThe Schindler House is laid out as two interlinking "L" shaped apartments (referred to as the Schindler and Chace apartments) using the basic design of the camp site that he had seen a year before. Each apartment was designed for a separate family, consisting of 2 studios, connected by a utility room. The utility room was meant to serve the functions of a kitchen, laundry, sewing room, and storage. The four studios were originally designated for the four members of the household (Rudolph & Pauline Schindler and Clyde & Marian Chace). Each person was assigned a studio marked in the plans with his or her initials, and everyone converged in the communal kitchen for domestic chores. The house also has a guest studio with its own kitchen and bathroom. The house, at just under 3500sqft, sits on a 20000sqft lot.

Our first store is SHAG the store, located in Palm Springs, California since early 2010. We hold Special Events, Print Releases and Artist Signings at these galleries at least a few times a year. Founded in 1966, Gemini G.E.L. is an artists‘ workshop and publisher of limited edition prints and sculptures. At Gemini, the artists do all of the drawing or carving directly onto the printing elements. The edition is hand-printed by Gemini‘s master printers, and each print is signed and numbered by the artist as well as embossed with the Gemini ‘chop‘. In 1981, the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., established the Gemini G.E.L. Archive, which functions as a study center for scholars and collectors, and contains a complete history of the workshop. Included is one example from each of the over 2,000 editions published. Three major exhibitions with works from the archive have been organized and exhibited by the National Gallery in the past 21 years. They recently created a complete online Gemini Catalogue Raisonné at http://www.nga.gov/gemini Gemini has collaborated with more than 60 highly accomplished artists in lithography, etching, screenprinting, woodcut and a variety of sculptural materials.

Gallery GO is the newest addition to the La Cienega Design Quarter’s contemporary art scene offering a diverse collection of unique and “young” contemporary art and photography, most often tied into musicians and super-stars. Located in the trendy, fashionable, La Cienega Design Quarter just below Santa Monica Blvd. Gallery GO is in a unique boutique space, once occupied by “THEMIS” clothing boutique (1968-71) owned by Jim Morrison of THE DOORS and operated with His lady love,Pamela Curson. Themis was so exclusive that it was rarely open to the public, but became a hangout for the many artists and musicians in the music industry including three Dog Night and Sharon Tate. “If you really breathe deeply, it may take you back to those Rock ’n Roll days” says Trebek-Kares.
Meliksetian | Briggs was founded in 2012 by Anna Meliksetian and Michael Briggs and is located in the Fairfax district of Los Angeles, a historical area of the city and a hub of cultural activity near the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The programme to date has featured international artists, both emerging and mid career, who are invited to make tightly focused solo exhibitions of new or unseen bodies of work in the intimate shop-front space. Exhibitions have varied in media, including installation, film, figurative and abstract painting, and although disparate in media, there is a lineage or history that ties the artists together through their influences, sensibilities and their practice. As the programme expands the exhibitions will reflect a dialogue between Los Angeles artists and their counterparts in Berlin, Vienna, London, New York and more. Artists exhibited include David Hendren, Todd Gray, Christiane Lyons, Richard Hoeck and John Miller, John Miller, Aura Rosenberg, Britton Tolliver and Cody Trepte. LA Training Room was founded by Mario Serban. A former trainer and massage therapist for The Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Mario Serban is dedicated to achieving long term, high performance results. With over 11 years experience in the fitness and massage therapy business, Mario Serban has worked for The Los Angeles Kings and many other professional athletes, as well as countless stars and celebrities like: Ellen Degeneres, Erin Andrews, Dancing With the Stars pro Anna Trebunskaya and Derek Hough, Jack Johnson, Conor Jackson and many others. For five years Mario was part of the training and medical staff for the Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club. He contributed effectively to the athletic conditioning of countless hockey team players. He planned, designed and implemented comprehensive pre and post event treatments, conditioning and rehabilitation techniques.
