The EDC provides legal assistance to people who are in legal proceedings for eviction in San Francisco. This legal assistance includes guidance in the legal process of evictions, help in preparing papers for people to file in court, possible referrals to other legal resources, hands-on guidance during the settlement conference, and detailed coaching to prepare for a trial. The EDC doesn't provide the services of a lawyer; clients act as their own lawyer. The EDC charges a sliding scale fee for its services and payment plans are possible. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. We also provide a self help packet for people who need to respond to a Summons and are unable to use the EDC's services because of time or other constraints. The EDC can provide help for people living outside of San Francisco, but many of the services are limited. If you are behind in your rent, you may be able to avoid having an eviction filed against you. Our Rental Assistance Disbursement Component (RADCo) provides interest-free loans and grants to tenants residing in the City and County of San Francisco who have fallen behind in their rent due to a temporary financial setback. Please see our websites for more information.
Why should you contact California Traffic Defenders about your ticket? - A traffic ticket can be expensive. The assessed fine is the most obvious cost, but it may also result in points on your license that can often result in higher insurance premiums. - Moving violations may result in points, leading to a suspension of your license or even jail time. - Contesting your ticket can be time consuming, requiring you to take time off work. Also, if you were ticketed out of town, it may not be practical to travel to that jurisdiction for court. - California Traffic Defenders has experience navigating the legal system and can identify the best course of action for your particular situation.
The Law Offices of Daniel Feder is dedicated to providing employees in California with access to top-quality representation in disputes with their former employers. Mr. Feder has spent more than 27 years working tirelessly to make sure that his clients receive the full protection of the laws protecting them from abuse in the workplace. We focus almost exclusively on representing Northern California (San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Marin, Alameda and Contra Costa County) employees to help them enforce their rights to work in a fair and equitable workplace. Our cases include harassment and discrimination in the workplace, disability discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, wage and hour violations, and whistleblower cases. We have seen firsthand the impact that it can have on employees' lives when they are confronted with those types of dehumanizing behaviors in the workplace. The stress that is generated by having to work in a harassing or discriminatory environment takes a serious toll on the employee, their personal life and, ultimately, can cause an employee to be unable to continue in their position. No one should have to endure discrimination or harassment to be able to maintain their employment. Our firm is committed to helping employees assert their rights in all situations. The Law Offices of Daniel Feder offer representation on a contingency fee basis. Also, we offer free initial consultations to the public. If you believe you have been the victim of harassment or discrimination, please call us at (415) 391-9476 or e-mail Mr. Feder at [email protected].

In 1995, myself and a group of like-minded – and yes, idealistic – young attorneys informally founded Lazaro Law Group. Our goal was to put the full weight of the law behind those who had legal problems and were hampered by poor language skills, cultural confusion, or lack of money. We were eager to make a difference in people’s lives. We knew that our status as lawyers can even the playing field for the poor and the under privileged. We helped folks with immigration issues, civil litigation, family law, and business law.
Ever respectful to the signature sandwich that built the brand, the Chicken Fried Soul™ (and it's veggie, vegan, and gluten-free versions), Soul Groove chefs also embrace the endless diversity of that which can satisfy us in a deep, nostalgic way, and the endless availability of the ingredient for same in our fine city. Yes, our San Francisco birth is precisely why we refer to our cuisine as International Soul.
