Dave Simon’s Rock School is St. Louis’ original school of rock music. It is a performance based program for ages 4-Adult. Students are placed in rock bands as they work with the school’s highly skilled staff to prepare for an end-of-the-session concert. Concerts are held at local music venues or the Rock School performance center. The school also offers private lessons to help students build their skill set for placement in more advanced band programs. Rock School also offers summer camp, adult rock bands and a state-of-the-art recording studio.

Our Vision: All children who participate in the Ready Readers program enter kindergarten with the skills to be ready to read, as defined by state early learning standards. Ready Readers began in September of 1997 when Pat Simons, Founder and retired Executive Director, and three other St. Louisans organized to help prevent, rather than remediate, reading problems among children living in poverty. Pat designed a program to excite preschool children about the world of books, so that they would want to read when they were ready. In 1999, an independent Missouri nonprofit corporation named Ready Readers was formed and a Board of Directors was established.. Ready Readers received tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status in June of 1999. Ready Readers is premised upon the well-studied fact that children who are unmotivated to become readers rarely learn how to read well. Wanting to learn, however, depends upon regular exposure to reading aloud and access to children’s books at home. Children living in poverty are insufficiently exposed to regular read-aloud sessions, and they lack sufficient access to books. Nearly two-thirds of low-income American children have no books at home. Early intervention such as ours – which supplies weekly read aloud sessions and gives each child a regular supply of picture books – works to motivate pre-kindergarten children to want to learn to read. The Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering focuses on research and education in environmental engineering science, energy systems and chemical engineering. The department has 140 undergraduate students, 27 master of engineering students, 70 PhD students, 16 full-time faculty and 2,453 alumni.

I work with children with special needs using the Anat Baniel Method in order to facilitate their development. It is sometimes referred to as "neuro-movement" as it uses movement to tap into the brains inherent capacity to change and re-wire (neuroplasticity) around damaged areas. Movement and gentle touch is the language that is used to communicate with the child's nervous system. Children almost always exceed initial medical expectations once engaged in this type of learning (therapy). My philosophy towards athletic development and performance enhancement is strongly influenced by recent advancements in brain research. It's no longer just about 'strength and conditioning' - the 'mind' needs to be addressed centrally in the design and implementation of any training protocol. H.F. Epstein Hebrew Academy is a Jewish day school in Olivette, Missouri. It was established in 1943 and was the first Jewish day school in St. Louis. The school is named for the first chief rabbi of the Orthodox Jewish community of St. Louis, Rabbi Hayim Fischel Epstein (1874–1942). It has been given the nickname EHA, an abbreviation of its full name.The school is housed on the six-acre Israel and Yetra Goldberg Educational Campus and includes classrooms, two playgrounds, a gymnasium, cafeteria, library and Beit Midrash. The school building also houses Yeshivat Kadimah High School.HistoryThe H.F. Epstein Hebrew Academy, established in 1943, was the first Jewish day school in St. Louis. In 1922, there were four Orthodox Talmudei Torah in St. Louis providing for the Jewish educational needs of the community. By 1939, there were fourteen of these schools, located mostly on the premises of various synagogues. In 1943, Yawitz was one of the founders and supporters of the H.F. Epstein Hebrew Academy, which consolidated the Talmudei Torah into the first Orthodox Jewish day school in St. Louis.

Elements of Wellness offers two massage training programs, 800 and 1000 hours. We have small class sizes and personalized attention to each student. We offer student advisement, career counseling, and mentoring. Elements of Wellness is an approved provider through NCBTMB for continuing education. We have fun, flexible, and personalized classes for all licensed massage therapists. Elements of Wellness also offers many classes and events open to the public seeking wellness and healing. We hold private couples massage classes and community classes such as yoga, Thai Chi, meditation, and qigong.
History of Iveland Elementary A February 1928 bond issue provided funds for the purchase of a four acre plot for $8,000 on which a school was to be built to serve the Iveland sub-division area. Two additional lots were added to the site in 1935 and 1950 for the sum of $11, completing the present 4.8 acre site. A permanent one-story, four-room building was built in 1936. In 1949, Iveland received an addition to the school and expansion of the site to the south, and in 1956 an addition for more than $250,000 was begun, followed by a smaller one completed in 1964 for $81,000. Passage of the 1990 bond issue enabled the demolition of part of the old building in 1991. Additions totaling $2,471,300 were completed during that time, which make up the current building. Since its inception, Iveland has had seven principals. Lilian Kegelman served longest with 33 years from 1936-69. Amanda Connelly is the current principal.

Departmental "core" academic offerings comply and exceed State of Missouri Education requirements, as well as the standards of NCSA and AdvanceEd. The curriculum also includes electives that meet student needs and interests. The CA curriculum offers a two-track program: regular and advance. ACT scores compete favorably with the best Christian Schools across America. Our graduates attend many prestigious universities and colleges. The Student Activities Dimension The Student Activity Dimension at the Chrisitan Academy is an integral part of the educational process. This dimension is the perfect complement to the classroom, not just because students learn how to become more proficient in sports, art, theatre or music, but because they learn how to become productive people in an interdependent society. Valuable lessons in applied Christian ethics, morals and values are learned in activities outside the classroom. Under the leadership of Christian mentors, students gain a personal awareness of honesty and integrity with themselves and others. Student activities are offered to all middle and high school students. These activities include sports, choral music, theatre, and service clubs. Student participation in one or more activities each school year is recommended for our students. Fifteen (15) hours of community service is required each school year for students in grades 9-12 for graduation. The Christian Academy is a member of the Twin Rivers Christian Activities Association (TRCAA) and Missouri Christian School Athletic Association (MSCAA). The Crusaders are an affilliate of the MHSAA and compete in athletics with private and public schools across the state.
