The Rafael Tufiño Printmaking Workshop at Taller Boricua is a printmaking organization that is dedicated to improving the social, cultural and economic development of the area by providing access to quality printmaking equipment, supplies and training by master printmakers. Named in honor of artist Rafael Tufiño, one of the founders of Taller Boricua who dedicated much of his time to fostering art and related studies in low-income communities, the workshop offers a supportive and creative environment in which all are welcome. Artist Rafael Tufiño Figueroa (October 30, 1922 - March 13, 2008) was a painter and printmaker who is considered one of Puerto Rico's most prominent cultural figures. Much of his art presents scenes of daily life on the island — work, dance, music and festivals. His paintings, including landscapes, interiors and portraits, are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Library of Congress and the Galería Nacional in Puerto Rico.

As a photojournalist, I have been telling the stories of the people I meet, all my life. George Conlan, a long time college friend, and I have set up Worldwide Photographic Cultural Exchange ( Cuba Moments ) to help others learn, through their art and love of photography, how to communicate with others in places that they have never been. Cuba Moments, as I like to call it, travels into countries with their eyes wide open, as they hope to connect with the people and together tell their stories with the camera. It is far from just going to the Times Square of every country we visit. Cuba Moments encourages its travelers to become a local. The tourist postcards are our keys. Cuba Moments is planning a series of trips into the country of Cuba. A country where time has stood still, but the people are very much alive. The changes are small but their effects are building to something big. We want will show you, through your art and the camera, how to tell their stories.
