The Event Center at San Jose State University is a multi-million dollar complex comprising a multi-functional arena and Sport Club fitness center. The center was constructed in 1989 for the purpose of supporting and providing entertainment as well recreational opportunities for the student body and university community. The center has played host to national entertainment acts such as Eric Clapton, George Lopez, Drake, Kelly Clarkson, Conan O’Brien and Pearl Jam. The Event Center is also proud to be the home of Spartan Men’s and Women’s basketball. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Event Center at SJSU is the premier mid-sized venue in Northern California.

This beautiful theatre, originally built in 1927 and completely renovated starting in 2001, marries the opulence of its movie palace origins with state-of-the-art performing arts venue attributes.

The theater is home to Children’s Musical Theater San Jose and Lyric Theater. Children’s Musical Theater San Jose is the nation’s largest musical theater and training program for youth of its kind. Lyric Theatre has been performing operettas and musicals in San Jose since 1972. Built in 1936, the Montgomery Theater retains its historic charm and offers audiences an intimate experience for every performance. With an elegant appearance and contemporary upgrades, it hosts a variety of local cultural and performing arts organizations, as well as corporate meetings and private events. The theater shares a brand new elevator with the San Jose Civic (the venue next door which is connected directly to the Montgomery Theater), allowing the balcony access to be even more convenient for guests.
