After spending just over a year at our old location of Northtown since the start of our establishment, the Lavvu Coffee House has moved to a new location in Dinkytown, near the University of Minnesota! Our new location was up and running on Tuesday, February 6th, 2013. Although things are still coming together and there is still work to be done to make this a truly Sami Coffee House, we still have the best coffee on this side of the Hemisphere... This new Sami and Northern Scandinavian coffee house will catering to the Sami community and friends. Our hours will be expanded, as well as our menus. Not only will the Lavvu Coffee House have the best coffee, but also provide Sami and northern Scandinavian snacks; an outlet for Sami and northern Scandinavian artists, musicians and guest speakers; and related events for the community. We will also be an educational venue of who the Sami are within Scandinavia, but also in relation to the North American immigrant experience. We hope Kurt Seaberg will be on hand to sell some of his artwork which is available at the Coffeeshop.
