Ripley Ernest Marsh Fred Gurley Ward Kimball A Longstanding Disney Tradition A noted train enthusiast, Walt Disney built his very first railroad in his backyard. The Carolwood Pacific Railroad, a 1/8-scale train, debuted in 1950 and featured a custom-built, steam powered locomotive that encircled his property. Delighted with his miniature backyard railroad, Walt decided to share his love of trains with the whole world. The result was the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad, a favorite of Guests since the park opened in 1955. Today, railroads exist at every Disney park around the globe.

Disneyland Park, originally Disneyland, is the first of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955. It is the only theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. It was originally the only attraction on the property; its name was changed to Disneyland Park to distinguish it from the expanding complex in the 1990s.Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement parks with his daughters in the 1930s and 1940s. He initially envisioned building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon realized that the proposed site was too small. After hiring a consultant to help him determine an appropriate site for his project, Disney bought a 160acre site near Anaheim in 1953. Construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled during a special televised press event on the ABC Television Network on July 17, 1955.Since its opening, Disneyland has undergone a number of expansions and major renovations, including the addition of New Orleans Square in 1966, Bear Country (now Critter Country) in 1972, Mickey's Toontown in 1993, and the forthcoming Star Wars Land. Opened in 2001, Disney California Adventure Park was built on the site of Disneyland's original parking lot.

The Disney Gallery is an attraction and merchandise location at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. It opened at its current location on Main Street U.S.A. on October 2, 2009. From 1987-2007 it was located in New Orleans Square above the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. The Gallery is a changing exhibition area focused primarily on artwork from Walt Disney Imagineering created in the designing of the Disneyland theme park. Merchandise relating to the current exhibition is usually available for purchase as well.The first Walt Disney Gallery is opened outside of the park within the Disney Store, Main Place Santa Ana mall in California on November 4, 1994.HistoryThe Royal SuiteIn the early 1960s, as construction of New Orleans Square was proceeding, Walt Disney decided he needed a bigger entertaining facility for various VIPs that came to the Park. He already had an apartment above the Fire Station on Main Street, U.S.A., but it was too small to host extensive events. Walt decided to place the suite in New Orleans Square, away from the hustle and bustle of the park.Walt brought in set designer Dorothea Redmond, famous for the sets in Gone with the Wind, to help him with the apartment layout. To furnish and decorate the area, Walt left his wife Lilly and Walt Disney Studio set decorator Emile Kuri to collaborate, as they had on other projects (Club 33, the Firehouse Apartment, etc.). The project was christened The Royal Suite, after the street in New Orleans Square (Royal Street) the apartment's entrance is on.

ディズニーギャラリー（The Disney Gallery）は、ディズニーランドのメインストリートUSAにある、アトラクション、およびそのアトラクションに併設しているショップ。東京ディズニーランドのワールドバザールにも存在したが、2016年9月30日をもってクローズした。このアトラクションがあるパークディズニーランド(ディズニーランド・リゾート)東京ディズニーランド(東京ディズニーリゾート)概要アトラクションとしての「ディズニーギャラリー」は、ディズニー・テーマパークやディズニーアニメーション映画などに関する品々を展示しているアトラクション。いわばディズニーの博物館・美術館といったところである。ショップとしての「ディズニーギャラリー」は、アトラクションの隣りに併設されており、ディズニー映画所在するパークのアトラクションのポスターなどを販売している。各施設の紹介ディズニーランド東京ディズニーランドアトラクション以前は館内全域でカメラやビデオ類の撮影が一切禁止されていたが、2015年3月ごろから撮影可能となった。また、2005年5月よりアトラクション内に「ディズニードローイングクラス」の教室が作られたため、展示面積が以前より縮小されている。アトラクションの入り口は1階だが、展示している場所は2階にあるため、階段かエレベーターを使用して2階へ上がる。かつては2-3年周期で展示内容が入れ替わっていたが、現在は2005年にスタートした『「ディズニー・ドッグ＆キャット」〜ディズニーアニメーションの名優たち〜』以来展示内容の変化は行われていない。2005年に終了した「ディズニーコレクション」という物販店で扱っていたフィギュア（人形）が、このアトラクションに移設された。

水晶大教堂（Crystal Cathedral）是一座原属于美国归正会的超级教堂（megachurch），位于美国加州橙县的加登格罗夫市。在2012年時該教堂因為破產導致董事會不得不將之賣給天主教橙縣教區，並改名為基督大教堂（Christ Cathedral），或以天主教慣用的中文翻譯稱為基督主教座堂，而該教堂也確要作為橙縣教區的主教座堂使用。而原先經營水晶大教堂的「水晶大教堂事工」則改名為「牧羊人的樹林」（Shepherd's Grove）並搬至橘縣教區的聖卡利斯圖斯天主教堂（St. Callistus Catholic Church）。名稱在轉賣給天主教前“水晶大教堂”雖就已經用Cathedral為名稱，但并不意味着它那時就是一个严格意义上的主教座所在的教堂，因为美国归正会不设主教，而是由长老治理。不過在橙县教區收購後則時計畫將該教堂改用作主教座堂使用。歷史1955年美國歸正派牧師羅伯特·舒樂在南加州的橙縣開始他的傳教使命，最初他租用了一間露天電影院為聚會場所。在那他建立了園林社群教會（Garden Grove Community）。這個教會在1961年建立了最早的會堂，之後由於成員的增加及附屬設施的需求使得舒樂牧師打算為教會啟建一間教堂以滿足這些需求。1975年他與建築師菲立普·詹森（Philip Johnson）開始計畫這教堂的建築， 1977年開工後在1980年完工，教會遷入後也更名為水晶大教堂事工（Crystal Cathedral Ministries）。破產危機水晶大教堂事工自2009年以来就遭遇财务麻烦。由于奉献款大幅下降，2010年1月水晶大教堂宣布裁减50名工人，出售多余资产，并且取消了“荣耀复活节”活动。 当地其它媒体此前报道，水晶大教堂拖欠小企业及员工750万美元，包括骆驼和其它动物租用费。几家电视广播公司和设备租赁公司也起诉这家教堂欠款不还，据估计教堂总债务高达5500万美元。2010年10月18日正式宣佈申請破產保護。轉賣給天主教2011年天主教橙縣教區自水晶大教堂事工手中以575000美元收購了水晶大教堂以作為未來的主教座堂使用，之後並由教廷定名為基督主教座堂，不過該名稱則是取自橙縣教區的建議。現今教堂本身正在橙縣教區的基金會的規畫下進行改建以便於符合主教座堂所需，預計在2015年完工。而水晶大教堂事工則與橙縣教區達成協議，租用教區在水晶大教堂父附近的聖卡利斯圖斯天主堂為禮拜儀式所用。而＜權能時刻＞節目則會在此新地點繼續制作。至於聖卡利斯圖斯天主堂的天主教徒們則改以基督主教座堂為堂區本堂及參與儀式所在，這個交換也如期於2013年6月30號達成。兩個教會也約好會保持良好的合作關係，如在公益事業上的合作等。建築特色这座教堂由著名建筑师菲利普強生设计，可容纳2,736人礼拜，使用了超过1万个矩形玻璃窗格，而且这些窗格是使用硅酮胶水粘在建筑上。这些措施的目的是使建筑物承受8.0级地震 ，及每小时100英里的强风。教堂內有一巨大管風琴287個鼓風管，超過1萬6千根風管，其鼓風管及風管數目排名世界第五。教堂旁邊有一塔狀建築，底層為禱告室，24小時開放。塔頂有52個鐘琴，可作為報時、通報及演奏聖樂之用。起初羅伯特·舒樂牧師租用露天電影院場地，作為週日白天講道的場所。至今仍在停車場保有喇叭，供在車上聽道的會眾之用。主教堂及輔助教堂都有巨型活動窗門可以開啟，同時向屋內及屋外會眾講道。
