The Farmers Market is an area of food stalls, sit-down eateries, prepared food vendors, and produce markets in Los Angeles, California. First opened in July 1934, it is also a historic Los Angeles landmark and tourist attraction. The Farmers Market features more than 100 vendors, including ready-to-eat foods, grocers, and tourist shops, and is located just south of CBS Television City. Unlike most farmers' markets, which are held only at intervals, the Farmers' Market of Los Angeles is a permanent installation and is open seven days a week. The vendors serve many kinds of food, both American cuisine from local farmers and local ethnic foods from the many immigrant communities of Los Angeles, with many Latin American and Asian cuisines well represented. It is located at the corner of 3rd Street and Fairfax Avenue in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles. It is adjacent to The Grove outdoor shopping mall; an electric-powered streetcar runs between the two sites. The market is a destination for foodies in search of the market's ethnic cuisines, its specialty food markets, and its prepared-food stalls. A sign that reads "Meet Me at Third and Fairfax" displays at the front of the Farmers Market.

We've been around since 1941, we're family owned, and we carry the finest meats. Our Piedmontese beef, for example, comes from an Italian breed of cattle, naturally raised without the use of hormones, steroids, or antibiotics. Instead, our cattle are humanely raised on a vegetarian diet by small, sustainable ranchers in the United States. All the while, this meat is higher in protein, lower in fat and cholesterol, and more tender than other meats. We aim to provide you with quality meats that taste great and satisfy your desire to eat healthy.

Currywurst is a fast-food dish of German origin consisting of hot pork sausage (German: Wurst) cut into slices and seasoned with curry ketchup, regularly consisting of ketchup or tomato paste blended with generous amounts of curry powder, or a ready-made ketchup-based sauce seasoned with curry and other spices. It is frequently served at German 'Imbißstube' and from food trucks. Today, Currywurst is often sold as a take-out/take-away food, Schnellimbisse (snacks), at diners or "greasy spoons," on children's menus in restaurants, or as a street food. Usually served with french fries or bread rolls (Brötchen), it is popular all over Germany but particularly popular in the metropolitan areas of Berlin, Hamburg and the Ruhr Area. Considerable variation both in the type of sausage used and the ingredients of the sauce occurs between these areas. Common variations include the addition of paprika or chopped onions. Often Currywurst is sold in food booths, sometimes using a special machine to slice it into pieces, and served on a paper plate with a little wooden or plastic fork. It is also sold as a supermarket-shelf product to prepare at home. An estimated 800 million servings are sold in Germany each year.
