The Office provides in a general way for the ongoing liturgical formation of the clergy and faithful, with a special emphasis on the formation of liturgical ministers. The Office for Worship assists the Archbishop with the preparation and planning of all the liturgical celebrations in the Archdiocese for which he is the celebrant. The Office also assists the Rector of the Cathedral-Basilica with the preparation of all archdiocesan liturgical celebrations celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral-Basilica. This also includes the principal liturgical celebrations of the Church Year at the Cathedral-Basilica. The Office assists with the liturgical celebrations associated with the various offices of the Secretariat for Evangelization. The Office for Worship assists pastors and those in parishes and schools who are responsible for sacramental liturgical preparation and celebration. This assistance includes directives, consultation and workshops. These workshops are often in conjunction with other offices of the Archdiocese. This Office, along with the Office for the Formation of the Laity, assists with the formation of leaders in the initiation of adults and the Archdiocesan celebration of the rites for the initiation of adults.
We want to encourage literacy through cooking and culinary literacy. By linking food and literacy, we promote nutrition education and improve reading, math and life skills through cooking. By teaching food literacy, we support healthy lifestyles for people of all ages—cooking to help combat high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and to sustain weight loss. We also seek to improve the health of the planet and know where our food comes from. Every bite of food we eat has a story. What is Man & Woman of the Year? Each year, in communities across the country, dynamic, passionate candidates engage in a spirited competition to earn The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Man & Woman of the Year" titles by raising funds for blood cancer research. The candidates compete in honor of children who are local blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year. Every dollar counts as one vote, and the titles are awarded to the man and woman with the most votes at the end of ten weeks. The top local fundraisers in the country win the national titles. To date, these dedicated leaders have helped LLS invest almost $1 billion in research to advance breakthrough therapies that are saving lives today. Man & Woman candidates are goal-oriented and compassionate. Their relentless efforts help us in pursuit of our goal: A world without blood cancer. The funds raised through Man & Woman of the Year are used in many ways: LLS offers free blood cancer information, education and support. We help patients, survivors, families and healthcare professionals. We touch patients in their communities through our 61 chapters across the U.S. and Canada. We drive policies that accelerate the development and approval of new treatments. We advocate for blood cancer survivors and their families, helping patients navigate their cancer treatments and ensuring they have access to quality, affordable and coordinated care.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's School & Youth Programs are about just how powerful the youth in our schools can be! Programs like Pennies for Patients, Olive Garden's Pasta for Pennies, and HOP for Leukemia—involve kids by teaching them about community and helping others by joining in the fight against blood cancers. In its 16th year, School & Youth Programs have given students the opportunity to help raise awareness and funds in honor of local patients battling a blood cancer like leukemia. By collecting spare change, kids involved with School & Youth Programs, have raised more than $211 million for research and patient services. This year, LLS continues its efforts to help students see what a difference they can make in someone's life and just how powerful that can be. We look forward to your support of our programs which supports our mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

2200 Arch Counseling Services is a counseling center for the city. We offer faith-based counseling that bring awareness, meaning and connection to the person, giving them the experience of being known. Our approach is unique in that we are concerned with the healing and re-telling of a person's story. We focus on the health and whole of the human spirit in its entire relational context. Our aim is not to simply change behavior, but, to dismantle the dysfunctional structures that are often rooted in familial, cultural, moral and social beliefs, that offer false relief. We believe that transformation of behavior systems and souls enables people to grow beyond mere survival in a place of thriving. We understand that it is impossible to change or eliminate suffering. So, instead we strive to change how we respond and relate to it. Together, we will explore the complex hidden desires and motivations that hinder us from knowing our true selves. Our aim is to not only alleviate symptoms, but, to re-orient and transform lives with lasting change.
