What began in the late 1990 as the Campaign for the New Madison Square Park, a public-private partnership that raised $6 million in public and private funds to redesign the ailing park, is now Madison Square Park Conservancy, a not-for-profit organization committed solely to preserving, protecting and programming one of New York City’s most beloved jewel box parks. Madison Square Park, a seven-acre urban oasis, is located in the heart of Manhattan’s Flatiron District at 23rd Street between Madison and Fifth Avenues. The Conservancy raises the funds that support lush and brilliant horticulture, park maintenance, park security and a variety of free cultural programs for all ages. Through a public-private partnership with the City of New York Parks Department, the Conservancy funds approximately 98% of the cost of park maintenance and 100% of the cost of security and cultural programs. The cost of operating the Park and its programs exceeds $3 million annually. Media coverage credits the Conservancy’s work with fueling the resurgence of the Flatiron District and Madison Square neighborhood.
Stepping Out Studios is a dance studio specializing in all forms of partner dance. We have been in business since 1985, and were voted "Top 2 in the country and #1 in the East." We teach all levels, all styles of partner dance (Latin, Ballroom, Tango, Swing, Country Western, etc.), 7 days a week. We offer introductory lessons, private lessons, group classes, wedding packages, practice sessions, and weekly parties. Announcing the launch of X Contemporary, a new art fair to debut during Art Basel Miami Beach 2015. Under the direction of Matthew Eck, X Contemporary will focus on presenting exhibitors with a strong program of work by emerging and mid-career artists. The inaugural edition of X Contemporary will take place December 1-6, 2015 with a vernissage for VIP guests and press on December 1st, from 5 to 10 p.m. The symbol X represents a destination point and an area of intersection, an evocative title for a new breed of art fair that will emphasize a crossover between the visual and performing arts and invite unique music and fashion collaborations. X Contemporary will provide 30,000 square feet of exhibition space with a separate area to facilitate the performance and music aspects of X Contemporary, without interfering with fairgoers’ viewing experience. In addition to the fair’s open hours, there will be a nightly schedule of live events meant to create a destination spot at X Contemporary when fair business hours transition to nightlife.

The Holy Eucharist is celebrated every Sunday at 2 pm in Madison Square Park and generally meets near the south west corner of the park at 23rd Street and Fifth Avenue . The Madison Square Park Congregation was founded on the Day of Pentecost, 2007. The currect pastor is the Rev. James "Seamus" Campbell, an Old Catholic priest part of the Old Catholic Church, Province of the US and assisted by the Rev. Deacon Denise LaVetty of the Episcopal Diocese of New York. Thirty eight souls attended the first Eucharist celebrated in this park on a sunny and pleasantly warm Sunday afternoon. Pastor Clyde welcomed everyone and made introductory remarks. The Rev. David Lewicki officiated and preached. A second meal was provided by members of Marble Collegiate Church, one of our participating ‘housed’ congregations, and everyone enjoyed a real spirit of fellowship. Attendance ranges from a few to twenty-five. Currently, 15 to 25 regular parishioners participate in worship with us weekly. In the event of inclement weather (wet or weather below 32 degrees) or we are displaced by crowds, like the yearly National BBQ which places its major beer tent on our usual site, the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament which offers serving instruction and other tennis tips on our usual site, or the installation of periodic public art projects in the park, the annual Gay Pride March or the Big Apple Bar-b-cue, we move to the garden or Church of the Transfiguration on 29th and between Madison and Fifth Avenues and start the Mass at 2:15 pm Ecclesia Ministries provides a Real Presence of Christ to those on the margins and really invites your presence and your participation. Join us for the Holy Eucharist every Sunday at 2 pm.

No cure has yet been found for ALS. About 10 percent of those individuals with ALS survive for 10 or more years. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals afflicted with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and their families by lessening the financial burden associated with this devastating disease.
