The Domestic Operations Task Force is commanded by Brig. Gen. Pat Hamilton. It is comprised of JTF-136 (MEB), 176 ENG BDE, the Joint Counter Drug Task Force, and the Southwest Border Task Force. The Domestic Operations Task Force responds to emergencies and disasters at the request of civil authorities throughout the State of Texas and the United States while maintaining readiness to conduct its federal, war-time mission. The TXMF SAPR/SHARP Office is committed to eliminating incidents of sexual assault by instituting a comprehensive policy that focuses on increasing awareness through prevention and education, victim-centered support, intimidation-free reporting, thorough investigation, and accountability for those who commit sexual assault crimes. We assist units by placing proper personnel in position to act as Victim Advocates/Sexual Assault Response Coordinators. We coordinate training for newly appointed VAs/SARCs, conduct refresher training for current VAs/SARCs, and ensure units are conducting their annual mandatory training. We give VAs/SARCs all the tools they need to complete successful training and to respond to reports of sexual assault.
The Texas State Guard is one of three branches of the Texas Military Forces (TXMF), operating under the command of the Adjutant General of Texas and the Governor as Commander-in-Chief of all state military forces. The TXMF includes the Texas Army National Guard and the Texas Air National Guard.

Strong Bonds is a unit-based, chaplain-led program which assists commanders in building individual resiliency by strengthening the Army Family. The core mission of the Strong Bonds program is to increase individual Soldier and Family member readiness through relationship education and skills training. Strong Bonds is conducted in an offsite retreat format in order to maximize the training effect. The retreat or “get away” provides a fun, safe, and secure environment in which to address the impact of relocations, deployments, and military lifestyle stressors.
